how's it going everything okay good to have a good grade every day with a smiling face so smile a bit and keep continuing
in this video we are going to update our dji osmo action firmware and see what added a new firmware so stay tuned
there are two ways to update your osmo action firmware first and easy way is installing memo app in your phone then connect them together when they are connected you will see a yellow sign on the top as you see the memo app mentioning that the new firmware available tap to update then press the install button to install the new firmware here we can see the osmo action new firmware number firmware size is 37 megabyte good and three main scenes added a new firmware that we will talk and test them together
the second way is well let's go to the computer go to the dji website then go to the downloads click on their product in the left side of the website select osmo series then click on osmo action now go to the bottom of the page download the firmware when download finished extract the file copy to the sd card then insert the sd card in osmo action to install well i prefer the first way it is much easier and time saving you know go to the dji website to find the download link download it extract and copy the file into the sd card insert the sd card but in first way connect the post device together and download it easy peasy japanese what they actually updated on this new firmware are first optimize the color for a more realistic and vivid color performance before updating the camera i record some video and photos in the same place to see the differences so let's see them together oh by the way i didn't touch the video or photos you know no editing
so
second optimized auto exposure algorithm third i mean third optimized function of quick select button that will be interesting for switching this screen beside double tapping by two fingers on the screen and the command screen switch
screen switch in old firmware we need to press the quick select button and hold it for a few longer but in new firmware we just need to have a single press which make it a bit easier and quicker if you haven't seen the 26 tips and tricks of dji osmo action well check out the link over here or over here so let's see another function of quick select button

perfect it looks like getting more interesting isn't it press once and then again to changing shooting mode
which we had it in the last version either so you may wondering what happened to the pressing and holding the quick select button if you are underwater or having a waterproof case on your camera you're not going to be able to touch this screen to see the gallery so by pressing and holding the quick select button you will be able to see the last photo and video that you've captured you know press and hold to access playback
