Sorry about the audio quality. Its a little hard to find a quiet place to record while the kids are home. So it was either have some background noise or not do a video. Ill try to do better on that.

Submit it after the walk through so you know what to expect out of the job and you dont under bid. Which can still happen so always get eyes on the location before giving a price.

When do you give your client your price for the job? Is it at the end of the walk through or when you go home and punch the numbers in?

Depends on how easy it is to quote. If its easy enough to do on the spot i would. But usually it takes a bit.

Do you tailor a contract for each client or do you have a template that you tweak a bit ?

Its the same for everyone. its just a form we input the details for each new client.

I am working on starting mines as I comment and I am currently my only employee which is alright with me for now. I want to just do residential work for the starting process. How do I go about getting everything up and running. Hope this ain't a dumb question but it's definitely my 1st time starting something like this on this magnitude

Start by making sure your online presence is appealing and active. Decide how your going to sell and get clients then dont stop getting clients ever. Hire as you get too busy to enjoy life. If we hire employees or subcontractors that are immigrants, do they sign a 1099/w2 and do a background check as well?

I think you’re confusing immigrants with illegal aliens. And just because someone works part time doesn’t mean they’re categorized as a 1099. Watch my video on w2 vs 1099 to be clear on how to categorize employees and avoid audit trouble.
