Yep, because they don't think they need to. They're raking in the cash with minimal effort, and that has worked for them up to this point. Not refurbishing anything means they have much more time to make video shorts of themselves playing stupid games, like seeing if Joey can spot all the obviously fake cartridges in however many seconds.

I watched a video where a guy went into what it would take to truly refurbish each console..10 years experience rebuilding consoles ... can't remember his name... but he showed special workstations for safely removing processors and handling bords for specific consoles it's guided arms and whatnot for tools ... their video where they use some simple screwdrivers to replace a laser reader and using vacuum attachments might be the extent of their ability

They dont' have the knowledge or talent to do actual refurbish jobs. Its super hard to actually have someone that can reball any board. Replace swollen capacitors. Most repair shops wont ever touch refurbish jobs that require that much work, and if they actually happen to take it. theres a good change they have to ship out the console to a specialist because the tech to reball is quite expensive and hard to do.

Plus its a mom and pop business. Not saying corporations should be ignored but, you're a mom and pop shop scamming people. The nerve. They deserve everything they get and more.

Consider yourself lucky. I had the same desire and I actually bought one. It works, but it’s extremely dirty and has a loose hdmi port. I would fix it myself but I don’t know how, and they won’t send me a different one since mine technically works

Literally all they have to do is apologize and recognize that these consoles aren’t being properly refurbished. Then fix the problem and let independent reviewers/consumers see the proof.

The thing is that they show refurbishing of some items For all we know these guys know who got filmed and shown have the consoles shown in the refurbishment videos they have or did the refurbishment specifically for those people

I love when they wrap the console super thick on the top and bottom and put it in a box where the sides of the console are flush with the sides of the box and only a tiny layer of wrap protects the console on the sides. It does nothing to actually protect the sides of the console. Then they wrap a jewel case of Madden 04 in four layers of wrap.

I was looking to see if someone had commented that. It's almost like putting a sticker over the battery cover on an Xbox 360 controller. With the e-mails they send when someone says their console doesn't work I wouldn't be surprised if a response to "Hey my Wii makes me set the time every time I turn it on" was "oh just take the warranty sticker off and put a new battery in, but you will void your warranty doing that"

Because we are Legit. And most of these KZfaqrs (mostly Rich and his Son Jacob R) do it for one thing! Getting more subs and more money rolling into their bank account! Negativity and drama = money. You really believe that we send Jacob R a faulty console even after he returned one before to us??? and after that we send a replacement that also has problems?? Ofcourse we don't it's all staged... it makes absolutely no sense if we made a big mistake, send it to a "Famous" KZfaqr and send a bad one again...Thank god there are also good KZfaqrs like Mr. Beast who support us and know we are legit.

@@trebm3 Yup, I believe that trading standards here have powers of their own, I know a retailer in the past who I reported to them, made sure they corrected the issue I was having with them very quickly after.

There are some good standards here, warranty stickers are now useless which stands out as a big thing. So, if they’re denying people their warranties because the sticker is missing I’m pretty sure that is now illegal

eBay is a great place. Ive sold almost two thousand items and have a high feedback rating. All of my games are checked for authenticity, if my consoles are labeled refurbished they are actually refurbished (the owner of dkoldies often buys refurbished consoles off of my store, and he does it with other sellers too- so if anyone does get a refurbished console- it's probably from one of us 😆). Just check feedback ratings and look for games labeled authentic or refurbished. If you don't get the item matching the description of the item you bought; you get your money back - guaranteed. Seller may get a strike.
