The Friday afternoon rush on the Burlington triple track.
BN & SP freights, Amtrak's California Zephyr, and lots & lots of E9 powered commuters at the Highlands, and the downtown Hinsdale station.

I like seeing that classic BN logo on the METRA cars, and those mechanical bells sound much better than today's e-bells!

This is some really nice footage, beautiful F units, original BN locomotives, and even the original amtrak F40PH paint scheme, all though in my state they still use F40PH's (its downeaster amtrak) but they are NPCU's (non-powered control unit) and also are used for baggage.

Those E units were retired in May 1992 or August 1992

In 1986,87 use to watch trains from steel walkways on signal towers at Naperville curve,police removed me once...best reviewing stand in Chicago suburbs 👍👍the growel of F units prime mover 🔊👍

I sadly remember that accident. Terrible. 9912 has a permanent mark on its headlight.
