I love how you regularly put a fresh spin on old techniques. Nothing is ever bland or boring with you. Even if you're doing something that's been done a thousand times before (like spoon bending), it's guaranteed that it will be on a whole new level with exciting and effective elements that no one expects. Gread idea. I usually do the classic way but if you don't have a table around it's an amazing alternative.

I used to do a version of this, but I used a spoon with a rounded handle, and I Incorporated a nickle so it looked like they could see a bit of the tip of the handle as it bent. Cool trick.

I eat macaroni with my spoon and when I finish it up, I try some magic with it! But from now on I will do this one for sure. :)

Check this out. I lived with this couple for like 6 months, and he would bend them...as in for real. His wife was my best friend and she would just get INFURIATED because he was destroying all her good silverware. She kept having to buy more. So our friends bought him wooden forks and knives and spoons, so she could have a break...but the same damn thing happened with the wooden ones....and plastic, too. It wasnt magic. It really happened. One night we made a giant pot of beef stew for like 5 adults, and the next day he had that huge, heavy pot in his arm, like you would hold a small laundry basket right at your waist with your arm around it...and he said, "Hey, if you dont want the rest I am about to throw it out." And as he stood there I looked down at the big pot and the things smashed in his arm like a pillow. I thought he was going to cry because he didnt mean to do it and his wife was going to be violent with hatred because they were not rich, and she used that pot constantly...lol...and it was a really good one. You could not have bent that thing in a damn vice grip. We tried to bang it out before she noticed but it wasnt possible. He could actually do it intentionally as well. We would be out at a restaurant, and if I could talk him into it we would have the waiter bring any kind of utensil--it didnt matter what it was made out of and then he would just pick it up. It was fascinating. I mean, I knew them for years and was living there and it was real as F. TONS of paranormal in that house too. Like, we would be standing in the kitchen and the whole huge, HEAVY oak dining room table would literally come up off the ground and flip over by itself...and all six freaking oak chairs, too. lol. Right in front of ya. It happened frequently. I loved it because I am super into that sort of thing, but it would scare the shit out of some folks. Most people who came over were used to it though. Cool, huh? It is a shame he is such a dick. My friend finally divorced him. Shame gifts are wasted on swine.

Spoon bend was the second trick I learned and I'm pretty set in my presentation of it but I love hearing/seeing someone else perform things I know because, like all things, often I then allow my tricks to evolve based on their performance. Which might be the fanciest way I've ever admitted to thievery.

I just had this crazy idea. You know that thing "Your favourite dinner guests." So there's Jay Sankey and the Dali Lama at my dinner party huddled in a corner with bent spoons all over the place :) D.L: "Imagine the spoon is bent and it will bend."
