Okay look, God loves you. If you realize you are in error and desire to be helped out of error, God doesn't leave you and just let's you get slapped till you die. Death is a part of this life. I'm simply saying, clearly you know you were in error. The Father loves you unconditionally. So how much more does He love you when you agree with Him? Sometimes the punishment lense we view our Father in isn't helpful when someone knows they are in error. God's heart is never angry when His children turn towards Him, and His anger is always good. "A contrite heart, thou shalt never despise O Lord".

I love your videos Jesse, I just have a hard time with this term “willful sinning” like how it’s presented like Living Waters. “I sin but I don’t willful sin” I’m just not convinced that ANY sin is not willful. Like I just read how David, a man after God’s own heart, murdered and slept with his friend’s wife. You can cheat on someone’s wife and go “you’re not my wife”. I know there’s consequences for sin, as the scriptures shows, I just don’t know if this term is not without abuse. For me the way I reconcile it is understanding what sin is and identity. If you understand how destructive sin is, it can make you sick. If you understand your identity, you orient yourself. And together you can live with a sensibility of conviction of sin and walking in peace of the blood Christ. His mercy has beauty that has to power transform you. Be blessed and walk in the spirit.

Faith without works is dead. It’s not that I’m trying to earn my salvation by works. I know I’m saved because I believe that Jesus Christ work on the cross is what saved me. But it’s the conversion from within me by the gifting of the Holy Spirit, that helps me be obedient to the truth. There’s new desires within my heart, and it’s towards the righteousness of God. Wanting to obey His word, not because I’m trying to earn His love but because I want to honor Him, because I love Him. There is real evidence there. That’s why I have assurance and know. To say someone can just believe , without the Holy Spirit moving in a way that regenerates the persons heart (born again) is foolish. Even the demons believed in Jesus Christ and Him being the son of God.

The demons do not believe Jesus Christ died, was buried, and rose again the third day according to the scriptures for their justification. On your best day of trying to obey God’s law, you a hundred trillion light years from the holy, perfect righteousness of our Creator. Stop trying to show you’re regenerated and rest in Christ and what he, alone, did for you. The thief on the cross believed at his last moment. He never had a chance to “change”. There is nothing wrong with works as long as it it kept separate from salvation. One who is a good son will willingly obey their father. One who is rebellious will reject and dishonor their father. Belief in jesus and his finished work through the Gospel is salvation. Works are aftermath that are built upon salvation but are not required to obtain it. 22:54 because the “market place” sometimes comes to your home right after you were Saved and you ( intellectually, if you had no catechisms) question “was the debt really paid?” “So why satan showed up?” Thing is, satan doesn’t care if you were saved, he doesn’t respect it by default, he just can’t lure you out if you resist him. He showed up in the wilderness in front of Jesus. When it happened to me I was baffled “ is he still a boss?”5 yes, i saw that grey ever moving goo come close, when I was soaked in the anointing, no joke). At about 2:00 in, Jesse says, "They say a real faith will demonstrate itself in good works. So, if you don’t have real faith, then your conversion wasn’t genuine.” Actually, the “they” in that sentence are the authors of the New Testament. That’s actually exactly what Jesus says in Matthew 7:13-27, particularly verse 18. First, He points out that very few make it to salvation (verse 13). Then, he warns that many will be misled by false teachers. Then Jesus clearly says, “17 Likewise, every good tree bears good fruit, but a bad tree bears bad fruit. 18 A good tree cannot bear bad fruit, and a bad tree cannot bear good fruit. 19 Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. 20 Thus, by their fruit you will recognize them.” Notice what comes in the very next verse, 21 “Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven.” He goes on to talk about putting His words into practice, so as not to fall. See also, Matthew 3:8-10, and Matthew 25:14-30, 15-46. In both cases in chapter 25, individuals fail to produce works, and thus are cast into outer darkness. There are quite a few other passages that teach this idea (for example, 1 John 2:3-6 and 3:4-10). Even in John 17, while Jesus is praying for His disciples (verse 6), He makes it a point to say, “and they have obeyed your word.” I think it’s actually biblically sound to hold that a person whose existence in this world-their actions and the way they treat others, i.e. producing fruit-doesn’t change after coming to Christ has failed to find Him. Such people are the seed that falls into bad soils in Matthew 13:20-22. Only those who bear fruit are found in verse 23. A person who comes to know (and be known) by Christ experiences what Jesus describes in John 14:21-24, “21 ‘Whoever has my commandments and keeps them, he it is who loves me. And he who loves me will be loved by my Father, and I will love him and manifest myself to him.’ 22 Judas (not Iscariot) said to him, ‘Lord, how is it that you will manifest yourself to us, and not to the world?’ 23 Jesus answered him, ‘If anyone loves me, he will keep my word, and my Father will love him, and we will come to him and make our home with him. 24 Whoever does not love me does not keep my words. And the word that you hear is not mine but the Father's who sent me.’” Notice who it is who loves Chris. Those who keep His commandments. And, those individuals are indwelled by the Spirit, becoming a new creation (2 Corinthians 5:17). Does Jesse ever talk about this aspect of coming to Christ? The result is seen in 1 John 3:9-10, “9 No one born of God makes a practice of sinning, for God's seed abides in him; and he cannot keep on sinning, because he has been born of God. 10 By this it is evident who are the children of God, and who are the children of the devil: whoever does not practice righteousness is not of God, nor is the one who does not love his brother.” If Christ is in you, you are changed, and cannot go on as you did before your conversion. It’s not possible.

Sin isnt even a factor to God after someone believes .1 Corinthians15 1-4. Jesus took away all sin 1 John 5:4, the only ones that dont have that payment are unbelievers. [1 Corinthians 6:11] Seated up in heavenly places with Jesus Christ forever! [Ephesians 2:Eternal Joy awaits us, brothers and sisters! I personally believe immortality is conditional. 1st timothy says God alone is immortal 2nd timothy says life and immortality was brought to light through the gospel. 1st Corrithians says mortals must put on immortality and then the saying will finally come to pass that death has been swallowed up in victory. Matthew says soul and body are destroyed in Gehenna. Jesus quotes isiah 66 24 to describe Gehenna. An image of annihilation. The word compares the flood and soddom and Gomorrah being reduced to ashes as what is to come for the ungodly in final punishment. The outpuring of God's wrath placed on Christ in our place to put him to death. I don't think God intends to immortalise sin, sinners and suffering. The original scheme of the devil was to introduce sin, sinner and suffering.

Wow. I hope people actually listen to what Jesse Martinez says, and then (like the Bereans of Acts 17) test his words against what scripture says. He's truly misleading everybody he speaks to. It’s just so dangerous. Look at how he approaches this passage in Hebrews. He says of the people Hebrews is addressing, "There is a temptation for them to apostatize, and what that means is to fall away from the truth. What truth? That Jesus is the Messiah." So, he admits that individuals are able to willful abandon Christ as Messiah. But, what does he say immediately after that? "To fall away from that truth is not to say 'I don't believe in Jesus anymore,' and even if they did say that, they're still saved." There are so many passages that blow this view out of the water. It is heresy. But, he’s a clear one. Matthew 10:32-33, “32 So everyone who acknowledges me before men, I also will acknowledge before my Father who is in heaven, 33 but whoever denies me before men, I also will deny before my Father who is in heaven.” Look at how Peter talks about this in 2 Peter 2:1-22, “1But false prophets also arose among the people, just as there will be false teachers among you, who will secretly bring in destructive heresies, even denying the Master who bought them, bringing upon themselves swift destruction. 2 And many will follow their sensuality, and because of them the way of truth will be blasphemed. 3 And in their greed they will exploit you with false words. Their condemnation from long ago is not idle, and their destruction is not asleep… 17 These are waterless springs and mists driven by a storm. For them the gloom of utter darkness has been reserved. 18 For, speaking loud boasts of folly, they entice by sensual passions of the flesh those who are barely escaping from those who live in error. 19 They promise them freedom, but they themselves are slaves of corruption. For whatever overcomes a person, to that he is enslaved. 20 For if, after they have escaped the defilements of the world through the knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, they are again entangled in them and overcome, the last state has become worse for them than the first. 21 For it would have been better for them never to have known the way of righteousness than after knowing it to turn back from the holy commandment delivered to them.” There’s a lot to this passage, but notice that 1) these false teachers are condemned to hell and 2) They are people who have come to know the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, but are “once again entangled and overcome,” and their final state “has become worse for them than the first.” “It would be better that they never knew Christ to begin with. Folks, that’s losing salvation. Plain and simple. There a bunch of other passages that talk about this, but Jesse is a false teacher. I just hope people read their bibles for themselves, and then abandon his false teachings.

Seriously, for anyone actually listening to this man, consider what a massive theological contradiction he offers in the opening minutes. At 4:22-4:27 he says that EVEN if a person comes to deny Christ, they're still saved because God remembers their prior belief. But then, from 5:20-5:43, he says that believers who then go back into a works-based salvation will be condemned to hell. On the basis of his first statement, the second cannot be true. God will remember their original moment of faith, even if they later fall into a works-based salvation. This guy is a theological dumpster fire. I'm sorry. People need to see it.

Yes, there is no condemnation to those in Christ who walk in the Spirit. Yes, a believer cannot go to hell. He cannot be unsealed or spiritually condemned. Nonetheless, a believer walking in the flesh is condemned in the flesh. He could die by living in carnality. This was part of the Hebrew’s problem. They didn’t see Christ’s work as enough to save them. The point of chapter 10 is to state that his “ONCE FOR ALL” death IS enough, so NO other sacrifice is needed. Hence “no more sacrifice for sins.” The verse is an eternal security verse. - Trent

Look, I think we agree on how someone is saved; faith in Christ, but I do believe you are truly not allowing the context to dictate what the point of this passage is. The Hebrews were saved. They did believe. They didn’t need another sacrifice for their sins. Why? Jesus is sufficient, so all who believe have his sufficient sacrifice applied to them. Even IF one willfully sins, His sacrifice is still sufficient. He doesn’t have to go to the cross to die again. This is pertinent because the Hebrews essentially had believed in Jesus, but they came under false teaching that led them astray. They began to think Jesus’ sacrifice was insufficient. You’re reading “no sacrifice for sins,” and you’re forcing in unbelief when in reality the context is dictate who this is referring to and why. Believers DO have a certain fearful looking to of judgment in one aspect. See 1 Cor. 3:10-15 and 2 Cor. 5:10-11. Maybe James 2:12-14. Saved individuals will be judged (not on their sin), but on their works. This is the importance of a believer serving the Lord now. Or do you not believe because you want to add your filthy self-righteous works to your salvation because you trust yourself? 1 John 5 10 He that believeth on the Son of God hath the witness in himself: he that believeth not God hath made him a liar; because he believeth not the record that God gave of his Son. 11 And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. 12 He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life. 13 These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God.

@@GiftofGrace88 it’s what many teach. Repentance is the heart. Deep within man. He gives us a new heart of flesh. It’s all in the Bible. So are all false doctrines…..like make mental ascent……Warned against. And it is very common today and does zero. Talked about in the parable of the sewer. Does not bring forth fruit. It’s just reality brother. Mental ascent doesn’t work. When we come to him with all our heart. “Believe with all Thine heart” This is why today it seems more than half of Christian’s act more like Satan than the unbelievers. Playing games with Gods word makes us worst off than not even getting involved with the Bible.
