Jay Shetty is an award-winning host, storyteller, Internet personality, and viral content creator. Since launching his video channel in 2016, Jay’s viral wisdom videos have garnered over 7 billion views and gained over 35 million followers globally. He is one of the most viewed people on the internet internationally.
After meeting a monk when he was 18, Jay started redefining success for himself. He wanted a life of service, impact, and passion as opposed to money, fame, and power. After graduating with a 1st class BSc (Hons) Degree, Jay went to live as a monk across India and Europe at age 22. He traded his suits for robes, shaved his head, and lived out of a gym locker for 3 years. After his monk experience, Jay moved back to London with no money to his name but started speaking at business schools about stress and pressure.
His career launched as a coach, and he was invited by Arianna Huffington to be the Host of HuffPost Lifestyle in New York City. He now works with companies like Google, L’Oreal, Facebook, Coca Cola, and Microsoft.
In his inspiring and empowering new book Think Like a Monk, Jay draws on his time as a monk in the Hindu tradition to show us how we can clear the roadblocks to our potential and power. Drawing on ancient wisdom and his own rich experiences in the ashram, Think Like a Monk reveals how to overcome negative thoughts and habits to access the calm and purpose that lie within all of us. How to Think Like a Monk is available now!

Re-listening to this and it really hits hard right now the thoughts of feeling like you're falling behind or haven't achieved much. I think my whole life I've always compared myself to others and put myself down as a result, not knowing which direction I was heading, comparing to others my age and all they've achieved/stage they're currently at etc...the list is endless. It can be soul destroying not having that peace with how things are and how we are (I am)...so very easy to think the grass is greener on the other side, when in reality it's greener where you water it. I hope anyone reading this, including myself, finds peace and find their way

The Universe gave me a massive kick 10 years ago. Its been a decade now and I'm still not where I was back then in terms of a Career but by crawling my way up from the bottom of the pit I've developed my character and I've had to work on the things that matter. I'm not where I could be financially if that didnt happen but now I have to tools and life skills to go way beyond that and also use the money wisely. I guess I was not ready for money back then.

"You were sent into the world to make a unique contribution to a world in need. You have come at a time of great change and difficulty for the human family, a time when humanity will have to face Great Waves of change that are coming to the world, all converging at this time. You have come at a time when humanity is encountering races from beyond the world who are here to take advantage of a weak and divided humanity. You are here to face and to deal with a set of circumstances that your ancestors never had to consider before. You have come with a greater Knowledge and a greater power, which God has placed within you to be discovered at this time, to emerge at this time-at this great time of uncertainty and upheaval. While you have a personal mind that has been conditioned by the world, that is full of hopes and fears, judgments and considerations, you have a deeper Intelligence within you that God has placed there. This Intelligence is called Knowledge." A quote from *The New Message from God*

The Bible tells us that we are created unto good works, which reflects the heart of a loving, compassionate creator. I am working as a social worker, and for 15 yrs I feel so exhausted, that I don't want to do service for other people anymore I am tired. I realized I forget myself and my own welfare for so many years.

It would be a purpose in my life to meet with Lewis Howes to discuss people and relational issues. It is so apparent that people, government, families, all suffer with just relating. This constant push and pull actually leads so many to a lifetime of drugs and alcohol. Once people get off the addictions they form, beneath it all are abandonment, attachment, codependency and narcissistic issues. Getting real and getting clean is the tip of the iceberg to realize that most simply wanted to be able to have healthy relationships with so many that were impossible for many reasons.

Lewis and Jay, I ask myself these 3 ? 1. What need done today that I'll feel good in completely today! 2 I give thanks to God spirit in me and know I am worthy. 3. Grace is worth getting up and helping some one today. That it. I feel pretty happy over these 3 questions. Thanks for sharing this video

1:45:55 Are you a knd person, caring, compassion, like been inthe service of others? Then, do as you want, don't follow others rules and practices. Its not what people think about you, it's about what intention is moving you to do something. Never let anyone, thing or situation hold you back from pursuing an intention. When you have an intention, and you dont act onit, tis sends a different message, now, there may be a weakness in future intentions.

Procrastination has had a grip on me I'm about to shake off🤞I ironically I knew of and used this word from a young age which shocked and enlightened others.. Now it's a big issue lol..Thinking about it The serenity prayer was also something I came across eairly teens as I loved books. Before it was used in AA. Now I'm a recovering addict... Why am I struggling to implement tools I had learn d long ago. Coping with a abusive mother...
