Envy = Bad Jealously = Good Our God is a jealous God, because we belong to him. A jealous husband is a loving husband. Jealously is wanting something that is yours, and if someone is taking your possessions or taking away your wife, that is justified jealously. Envy is wanting something that isn’t yours. Hating somebody because they have more. If I hate my neighbor because he has better things than me that is envy

Personally I avoid jealousy and envy. Nothing belongs to me. Not even my own body and soul. I gave it all to Jesus Christ. I was just stewarding over the blessings and loved ones God has given me. It’s his to give and his to take at any second. That’s why I’m grateful for every breath.

@@vqsxd I’m still learning to be honest. I’m Native American and I grew up with the old ways. I had a supernatural encounter with Jesus when I was at my lowest. I’m new to this, but my heart is completely transformed since that day.

I am currently going through this with my sister. I ask that the body and community will please pray that my sisters heart will soften and that she would turn from jealousy that is causing division and a lot of pain by fights. This is hard for me to say because it was me for a lot of years. I always knew jealousy was wrong and I'm not an innately jealous person. But I always wanted to look my nicest. I always had to have my hair and makeup on point of I was going to be seen by others. That's pride and pride is just other face of the evil coin of jealousy. It's good not to be jealous, but don't be out there trying to attract attention to yourself for your beauty either. Beauty fades and it's gone.. But if you wield it like a sword and shield to feel superior to others or simply not to feel inferior yourself, it's pride and it's just dyslexic jealousy. Satan was jealous of God because he thought He was as good, if not better. Don't invest into your looks. God gave them to you as a test and a blessing, so treat them with caution and care. Invest into your spirit and into the lives of others. Only those investments matter in the end. Everything else whithers away and leads to death.

Jealousy is the rage of persons, it's the works of the fleshly mind! If we walk in the spirit jealousy is dead, but if we walk in the fleshly mind we fall under the law again and are condemned! But if we crucify the fleshly mind, we are not under the law, but under grace! All sin crucified in my life, aways walking in the spirit! This is the perfection God, Jesus, is speaking of! The secret: when theirs no more sin in our lives and we walk by the faith of Jesus we sin no more, willful sin I'm speaking of! I'm free, you want to be free, get serious! Blessed are we when we walk continually in the spirit, we are perfected in the love of God by Christ Jesus, amen!

This is one of my biggest struggles.. and unfortunately the more I try to take it to Hod, the more distant I feel from him. Like the harder I try to live by his word I feel the devils attack. Sometimes I fall into the doubt, other times I get through it.

This is what helped me get over the spirit of jealousy. Jealousy = idolatry. Most don’t make that connection. I know I didn’t. When you get jealous of someone for something they have, you are indeed making whatever they have your god. We deify possessions and situations when we allow it to make us jealous.

Do you know why God is jealous and its a sin for us to be? Because it all belongs to him. We have no right to feel jealous when its all his. When we get jealous we are telling God what he has we claim.
