I've been a Canucks fan my whole life, watched every game I possibly could, I read the articles, listen to the analysis on the radio and I never turn a game off even if we're getting blown out. The last decade of canucks hockey, it's been really tough to stay positive but I still wore my Canucks hat on game days even when people would laugh at me for being a fan. For real, the Canucks are just completely overlooked by everyone outside of Vancouver right now. Like there's SO MUCH discussion about the teams that they've beaten but nobody mentions the Canucks that inflicted the losses on them. Also seriously appreciate the positivity mindset, absolutely agree. And we don't have enough hockey channels that have a certain level of shitposting (plus positivity) out there. Great stuff.

The canucks are a team which I was really doubting that they'd really do anything outside of missing the playoffs again. I've been generally surprised about how much this team is coming along. There are some questionable aspects (finishing a period is one.) however, Tocchet and co. has generally surprised me with them fixing their issues after a game or two after. If the canucks can continue their hot start, they can easily make the playoffs. I'm just happy the canucks are finally a team that is staying strong and forcing a tight game, Instead of giving up after they've been scored on twice in the first. this team is coming along great. It has been a long bumpy road and I have been a fan since the very beginning. Every year I am hopeful and it has been hard. Especially staying up until 2:00 am to watch them but I keep watching them. Just ignore those haters! I'm a huge Canucks and even I admit that while yes they are good they still have a long road ahead of them with many obstacles in the way! I"m a Dallas fan and agree that y'all played better and deserved to win. I've watched every single one of the Stars game this season and we're playing pretty badly and got some lucky wins. IMO we're not as strong as our record indicates we've got a lot to fix and some of it is worrying so I wouldn't get carried away yet but nevertheless you guys did a good job.

Been a Canucks fan since they first started (1970). Less of a fan some years, but like most teams, you go through cycles. Love what you said about how people handle adversity! I thought once we had all the players , that we would make the playoffs. I might be wrong, but to me I watch to be entertained and to see what all the other teams and players bring to the table. I have seen so many great players come and go, and I think we have some great talent this year. We were lacking in structure, defencemen, and defence as a team. I think we got those worked out so should be fun to watch this year. Loved the video too.

The season is very young Mr. Nuckhead. There is the possibility of injuries and the chemistry of the team heading into barriers later in the season. I agree. They are playing surprisingly well as a team. We have to see if they can carry on with the pace until April/May 2024. Plus the playoffs are the real teast to see how far The Vancouver Canucks can go.

You are a rare full canucks fan, and I love to see it. I'm new to your channel but from what I've seen so far I agree with what you've been saying. Canucks are a good team so far this year. I believe we can keep this up throughout the whole season. And as long as Hughes and Hronek both stay healthy, the canucks could honestly have the best defensive pairing in the league, which is something I've been wanting to see for a long time

I know some will scoff at this ... but Petterson truly does remind me of Gretzky ...I started watching Gretzky in his rookie year, so I have some merit in saying that :)

Huggy for Norris, Demmers for Vezina, Petey for Art Ross; we may never lose again! Seriously, even though people are criticizing the Canucks for having a "luckier" start than expected, just by the eye test, you can see that each player on the Canucks roster, from core guys, to depth guys, are completely bought into Tocchet's systems and into the team in general. There is so much to be excited about this group. In interviews, pretty much all players have parroted that they love winning and are doing it all for the team. Sure, the Canucks will likely have harder times as the season progresses, but 11 games in, I am confident that this team is going to be able to stick it out through those tougher times and prove that they are a regular playoff team.

Here's a fun stat after their 6-2 win last night: "The Canucks are the first NHL team to outscore their opponents by 30+ goals over the first 12 games of a season since the 1984-85 Oilers did so on their way to winning the Stanley Cup (+39)." That last part is irrelevant as there were way less teams in the 80s, and you don’t count your chickens before they hatch. BUT, this is a comparison to a team that wasn't under the modern NHL salary cap. Oh and apparently Quinn Hughes has a plus/minus and points total after 12 games that can only be compared to one other player, and that was Bobby Orr in the 70s.

What's shocking is how many casual observers can't seem to wrap their heads around why the Nucks are good this year. If you take a .500 team with an elite 1C, 2C and 1D then add a top 6 forward (Mikheyev), a top pairing dman (Hronek), and an elite goalie plus a competent backup you're going to be better. Then you tear down your bottom 6 and bottom 4 defence and add PK orientated support players, you're ALOT better. Doesn't even factor in the resurgence of Boeser, Kuzmenko continuing his solid production or the complete wholesale change of the coaching staff. One that has instilled a system and an identity and perhaps even more importantly, something the players have bought into completely. This is a good team. It's not a fluke. They have some holes to address which I think front office will do if the price is right.

Unfortunately It's just a trend to hate on the canucks nowadays. Most people who hate most likely aren't even following the team.

We’re so back, baby! As a lifelong Canucks fan from Vancouver Island, this season looks to be the best we’ve had in the past decade.

I said last year that the Canucks had the potential to be a very good team, then I listed the obvious deficiencies that needed to be addressed. This wasn't rocket science, everybody could see them. What I did not expect is that club management would do all of it and then some. The additions to the lineup have all been superb, plus Hughes, Pettersen, Boeser, and Demko playing like all-stars, add a great coaching staff and you suddenly have a legit contender. Yes, it's very early but the team looks a solid choice to make the playoffs if they can avoid a lot of key injuries.

Brilliant response to the critics. As a vancouver fan from the moment I was born as well, it feels good to have my beliefs echoed and to have a source of positivity while rooting for my hometeam.

While I am a believer myself, Vancouver managed to play their top game vs the Stars. But if Vancouver keep this momentum maybe until next Jan to Mar, that’ll shut the haters up.

I've been a diehard canucks fan for a long time and feel like I am pretty in tune with the vibes of the team and I have to say the start to this season feels like the start to the 2010/2011 season. It just has this energy that has been lacking for over 10 years now; do I think this might be our year for a cup push? maybe. Do I think this will be the start of several good play off years for us? Definitely feels like the clouds have lifted. It all started sliding into the abyss with Bertuzzi and Naslund contracts. With such a legacy that continued from there for a decade and a half I still suspect whoever was behind all that may reappear. As far as I could see, with all the coaching and management changes, the only two factors that remained consistent through that whole era were the commentators and the owners. I like what I see but still worried about a colossal trade or contract decision that will taint the whole thing.

A close OT loss to a cup tending team is not a bad loss and a 2-0 win is good. One ok game against a contender where they still pull a point and then a 2-0 shut out win to another cup contending team. I think that puts them in the cup contending branch as well.

Yesss, let's win the Oilers, then Senators, then...Leafs. I'll be the cheerin for them in the Scotiabank Arena Sat. Go Canucks!
