It was ok, but we went there only a few times. This was before the unlimited crab legs and shrimp. The most notable thing about the location near me was the presence of another restaurant called Mother Tuckers which was next to a Fuddruckers. We speculated on what their name would be if the 2 restaurants merged.😊

Truth be told, I honestly thought they weren't going to go away, but here we are, I guess. If they don't keep their act soon, that will be the end for them.

Red Lobster is still here. Not for long…lol. I used to represent Darden Restaurants.

The company was slow to update their menu. I'm surprised they don't serve "Lobster and grits, topped with butter". Biscuits in this day and age?

Have you been to Old World Village in Huntington Beach🤔🌇🇩🇪

There was also Alpine Village in Torrance which was founded about 10 years earlier. Both were Bavarian / German themed.

Nope, I try to follow the news and if I see a company going bankrupt, it is always interesting to find out about that company.

I think I went to Red Lobster twice...probably in the 1980's. Not a big fan of seafood to begin with, so its appeal is lost on me. And I can eat all of that shrimp at home for a lot cheaper (but I do like looking at the little piggys telling you how much they gobbled in one sitting on YT). I might have to go one last time before they shutter the place.

I always enjoyed Red Lobster. They had good food. The main issues I always had with them is a) they weren't particularly convenient - the one I often visited was in Monrovia - and b) their service was admittedly lousy. Usually, the food made it worthwhile in the end, not to mention seeing the actual lobsters in the tank, even though they rarely moved. 😏 I am sorry to hear that they are having issues, but I don't think I would be surprised if we lose them over the next year or so. We don't have many decent fish restaurants anymore in my area, and I will miss them.

This is one of the biggest chain restaurants to go bankrupt in recent history, and not just the 'endless shrimp' promo either. X user @ElectProject said, "A hedge fund bought the company, sold off all the land Red Lobster restaurants are located on, leased the land back to Red Lobster, and jacked the rent. Just so you know what is really going on here"
