You may think the bad parts are because the movie directors are bad but it's actually staying true to the games. Most of the dumb shit in the movie are how they are in the game.

I have to admit that the DOA movie was my guilty pleasure. It is one of those movies that was so bad it was good.

The climbing scene always cracks me up because not only is the wire work awful, but there is so much hyper-sexualized moaning dubbed in that it sounds like a porn movie.

I love the DOA movie! It is definitely one of my favorite game-to-movie adaptations. A perfect representation of the madness that is the DOA game franchise, which also has a hilariously convoluted and dramatic backstory involving ninjas, betrayal, robots, and clones. And of course Tina is wearing jeans! She's supposed to be a stereotypical cowgirl! LOVE IT!!!!

7:20 Corey Yuen is actually a respected martial arts filmmaker in Hong Kong. He was a classmate of Jackie Chan's and helmed many of Jet Li's 90s films. But of course, Hollywood always gives directors very limited time and budget to work with on these cash in movies. Not to mention all of the studio checklists they have to follow. I guess he lost all taste for directing after this one.

This looks like one of those movies i'd watch when I was kid like everyday because it has "great" fight scenes and pretty and sexy girls. I'm straight btw, but pretty girls are just always fun to look at. I love movies like this when I was young, like chocolate although that was a good movie, so close and all those other hong kong martial arts films with female protagonists, charlie's angels etc. It's a guilty pleasure. And watching this video makes me wanna watch this movie too it looks like a good fun watch. 😁

The game (while obviously filled T&A fanservice) is actually really good. And this movie falls into the, 'so bad it's good' category. It's obvious that the filmmakers had a very tongue-in-cheek approach when making this movie. I watched this with my friends and we were laughing the whole time.

As a teen I LOVED this movie. I watched it so many times. Holly Valance was my favourite. Didn't see it in many years though...

I actually really enjoy this silly movie. The fights are pretty fun and the fan service doesn't hurt either, they assembled a pretty attractive cast. Eric Roberts and Devon Aoki were really miscast though. You can tell most of the actresses can't fight, but they manage to make them look good anyway which is kinda hard. (Even Mortal Kombat had clunky fights.) It's basically a live action cartoon, I would have loved this as an adolescent boy. It's a pretty low bar but among the movies based on fighting games MK and DOA are the only decent ones, most are almost unwatchable.

Such a shame because Corey Yuen has done some really awesome Chinese flicks. The Legend and The Legend 2 are some of Jet Li's best films.

Funny thing after seeing this movie, I played DOA. Found out DOA is actually a god damn kickass hardcore fighting game, and fucking HARD for a Samsho kid like me. And DOA had a pretty good plot, what do you know.

The director of this is actually ver well known for his fight choreography. He made mainly hong kong martial arts movies.

This movie might be a very dumb movie, but its a fun entertaining dumb movie that i watched maybe 10 times. Please review Uwe Boll video game movies.

Corey Yuen has directed some great Hong Kong movies. He just hasn't been able to make anything really great working within the confines of the Hollywood system. You should check out any of these. I am guessing you've never played a DOA story mode campaign before. This movie is pretty much spot on and absolutely perfectly mimics the DOA story telling style. Arenas in DOA are locations rather than actual fighting arenas. When you play through the story mode, you will start with a cutscene, and then, usually, some bad guy will crash into the scene and throw you / you throw them into the area attached to that story scene. Exactly like in the movie Cut Scenes in DOA often have hilariously weird sound effects to punches and kicks The Dialogue is often hilariously bad and disconnected from the actual events happening The story being told in the story mode make very little sense, are stupidly over the top with a bad guy that has some of the most idiotic motivations and outlandishly over-the-top plans There are so many parts of the story mode that are nothing more than strange funny comical moments not really in any way related to the story, its just a funny character moment. There is a HELL of alot of butt shots in DOA Physics is more of a guide than a real thing in DOA Looking at DOA from purely a movie stand point it is terrible, but as far as movie adaptations go, I think it lives up to the title on the bottom. There is no other live action game movie that mimics the source game so well

This is a great movie to have playing for when you have friends over and you’re just sitting on the couch or hanging in the living room talking and not really paying attention to what’s on the tv.

I remember watching this and being so glad they had that hang glider thing right at the beginning. I knew immediately what I was in for, it allowed me to properly set my expectations for the rest of the movie.
