Do you ever complain that you don't know how to touch your toes? Do you complain of constant tightness in your hamstrings? In this video, I'll give you my second favorite flexibility hack that will show you how to touch your toes in just 5 minutes, even if you think you can't!

Thank you for this I'm in 6th grade and I've always realized that I'm a lot less flexible than everyone else and I'm always the one who doesn't really participate in PE Before this video I could only stretch till my knees, but now I'm almost able to touch my toes, I hope after doing this exercise more often I will be able to!

Why does my back curve while trying to touch my toes though? Is there a solution for this? I can't seem to hold the posture right

We WANT the back to curve when touching the toes! It is when we are too stiff that people often lose the ability to naturally reach toward the ground

The more consistent you are the more change you will get! So multiple times a day will be great!

This is ONE possibly of a "hack" into the nervous system. Sometimes, your nervous system needs a bit more convincing, so you might have to spend more time in these postures to create more change for the muscle tissue!

I am so unflexible even touching my thighs is extremely painful I’m only 11 I used to be able to do the splits and touch my toes my joints are really achey and click every minuets have any advice ?

These exercises are good however they don't address the problem. Then you get a whole bunch of people go, if you do it like this, this and this, then you should be able to do it. Ah No. So what is the unadressed problem? Spinal instability. Skeletal instability, old injuries that won't heal or can't, which means disabled. Sometimes the tightness is a warning sign. Doesn't mean you can't touch your toes, the floor, but it does mean you can still fall to the right or the left. Sometimes you just have to go to touching the knees or use a chair or bed or a block. While people talk about tight muscles they don't address the spine. I am glad that you put spinal exercises in there, but however it does not really address the instability, neither do the doctors majority of the time. Sometimes you just have to do it against a wall. If I go to close to my knee and my sternum clicks. Where I live, no one cares if you have a clicking sternum.

@@docjenfit thanks for your response. I will look at them. Since writing to you, I realise the best way for me is to relax into it and not stretch. It's like trying to stretch over stretched muscles that are maxed out and have no more give.

@@docjenfit any time. Some advice. have two cameras- straight on and sideways and edit between them as necessary. Plus. You seem to stand half straight and half sideways. I know why you do it but it’s unusual to follow along
