Makes sense considering the secondary cats are gone. But the HP and TQ is only secondary with that sweet exhaust tone being the winner here.

Supposedly cat backs increase fuel efficiency which means for the life of the car would probably pay for itself

@@jamesgatz8707that is not true. Every camaro already has a catback exhaust system. The reason for the gains here is he removed the secondary cats by voiding warranty. Less restrictive exhaust.

@@Stan1le i had a 10 ss Camaro. Did the throttle body, headers, cat back, and cai then traded it in for a gc srt right after all of that because my wife had a baby. That was last April. That srt was a pos smh. Got a 17 redline ss now. Had to redeem myself. I love it. I'm not doing anymore mods so I'm living through you guys.

Sweet video man! You got the Xtreme X-Pipe to go with your Xtreme Axleback, right? From what I understand, that is basically the Xtreme+ Catback setup. Im looking to get something like yours for my 1LE. How much louder than the stock NPP is it?

That is correct, same as the Xtreme+. Much louder but very quiet during normal cruising. Truly the best of both worlds. Pops and crackles are nice too

yay I put borla s type on my truck and hope it adds just enough horsepower to get it from 395-400. 🤷 I just like 400 better than a weird number like 395.

Steve C nope the double X gives it a very unique tone but it’s super crisp. Tone is just deep and it has a more pronounced idle now without cats

I am in a similar situation I only have the axle back of borla ataks will adding the mid pipe make a difference in volume? I’m trying to make it louder as cheap as possible.

Stan I have a question. I have the corsa extreme with the borla x pipe and mid pipe setup. Will it get louder overtime? After how many miles does it need to break in?

Derrick Rose it just gets a little deeper tone. Honestly the Xtreme was better without the X-pipe. But it does not get any louder than what you have already heard from it. Also keep in mind you have to listen to it outside the car, the in cabin sound is deceiving since Corsa has perfect no drone in cabin.

Super Stan I think GM fabricates the numbers a bit so as not to make the Corvette feel bad. I honestly think these cars make more than the 455hp stated. Positive for us!

paul lamb well they have been doing that since the c4 corvette. The Corvette will always be king at GM. So yea the numbers are always off. But I’m not complaining, yes a win for us

Ray Delfa Corsa performance exhaust. I got sponsorships pricing so it’s not the same as what you may be able to pay. But not one code has come up on my car. I have never been flagged for warranty issues. Not a problem at all and car has never been tuned or anything

No clue. The axle back is definitely lighter than the full “suitcase” size muffler from the factory. Overall weight isn’t something I looked in to

@@A1ex0528 and mainly the A8 having a larger power difference. The A10 can be deceiving if it isn’t ran in the correct gear but generally it is still more efficient than the A8. But yes traditionally autos always dyno lower than a manual. But comparing a m6 to a A10 the auto overcomes that with the faster shifts.

Nah I have never heard that. If a car is making enough horsepower being able to free up as much exhaust restriction is necessary and will net gains on both horsepower and torque. Plus most performance cars a detuned a bit from the factory so they will gain all over

Desmond Bunn there were no changes to the drivetrain. I have already done a baseline test on this exact dyno, so drivetrain lose is already accounted for. Only thing done to this car is switching exhaust systems, so that’s where the number increase has to come from

Desmond Bunn but I don’t see any other variable to “free up” horsepower besides the change of the exhaust system. If you’re saying horse power was freed up because there is less restriction, that still all comes from the exhaust. The drivetrain has never changed.
