19:30 Vaush rarely watches entire videos of people he attacks. And the "bitch" thing of his is not a joke, it's not unusual for him to call women he despises that so it pours over. There was a video way back of his about youtuber Karlyn Borysenko, if you'd take a sip of hard liquor every time he called her a bitch you'd have alcohol poisoning.

Re: Rotherham - after it blew up, counselors who knew and let it happen admitted that they kept silent because they were afraid of being called racist (which was true - the person who broke the story *was* called a racist). All of the perpetrators were Muslim, most of which of Pakistani origin, and virtually all the victims were white English girls of lower-middle class or working class background (a few of the victims were Sikhs). In one instance, one of the victim's father went to rescue her from the human trafficking ring, and the police arrested him. In another incident, a police officer actually watched the sexual abuse happen before his very eyes and his response was somewhere between ignoring it and condoning it. At trial, the perpetrators not only admitted to doing it, but they were proud of doing it as an act of Jihad against the West. This happened not only in Rotherham, but all across England. The number of victims over the decade when this was happening, and in the following decade while the authorities were dragging thier feet in investigating the scandal, number in the tens of thousands. Last year, the Home Secretary promised an investigation, then after it was finished, refused to release it to the public for "fear of escalating ethnic tensions." The cover-up (or, I suppose, *attempted* cover-up, since everyone now knows) continues to this day. Meanwhile, the police are officially investigating people for "non-crime hate incidents" for tweets like, "Woman, n. adult female human."

I feel for the victims nobody deserves that, that’s disgusting. The story is conflicting as a muslim woman because I agree that the perpetrators were horrible but they are NOT muslim and I’d like for that to be very clear because claiming to be something doesn’t automatically make you one. The actual holy book the Quran is against the abuse of woman and sexual abuse period. Prophet Muhammad pbuh cursed the one who hurts a women, the angels curse the step of the one who harms a woman. I’d just like people to listen to the actual book instead of the words of people who claim to be muslim so as to avoid misunderstanding and more hate. God will give those horrible people what they deserve and give peace to those harmed.

The abuse scandal in Rotherham did not involve immigrants. There are a large number of Asian(Pakistani/muslim) communities in most UK towns. The girls they abused were young white girls. It was a huge scandal and apparently is still happening. The police, social services, schools all knew about it. Girls went to the police and tried to raise awareness but were ignored.

Abusers were not Muslims, those disgusting men are fundamentally against the Quran. Harming women, rape and assault, disgusting. Our religion is against these unholy acts, how can one be against the religion of islam and still be a Muslim? Despite whether they claim to be, I hate how people use these people who aren’t following Islam to hate on Islam without even reading the Quran. I hate even more how the police wouldn’t help CHILDREN for any reason. the whole thing is so so disgusting

Yeah, Vaush has a habit of deliberately ignoring good arguments if he doesn't immediately agree with them. On his stream for Authentic Observer's video called "The Desecration of Femininity," he regularly skipped past entire sections of her video and only watched 4-7 minutes of her hour long video. One notable point was that she was about to quote someone's work to back up a claim she made and he just scrolled right past it the second the quote came up. He also does shit like "water isn't H20, it's aqua if you cross the Mexican border," completely missing the point of the argument (being that there's an objective reality and we use words to describe it) exile also failing to pronounce agua correctly. This is a habit of his.

Here’s the problem, the reason why a lot of these breadtube space’s like vaush wear a thin veil of women’s rights and liberation…. Only to show how rabidly misogynistic they actually are when they come across women that they don’t particularly like,it’s because there’s a direct line between extremely far right neo-Nazi spaces to cucked far leftie spaces. Lots of Vaush’s audience are lonely terminally online white dudes that were probably subscribed to a lot of far right reactionary channels/ redpill content back in the 2016\2017 sphere but they “saw the light” and now they’re verwy sowwy. These people go from one extreme to the other. It’s the fragility and cripplingly low self-esteem they have, it starts out with being a socially awkward 14-year-old that get into a lot of pick up artist/red pill content…. Then it morphs into them becoming white knights for the (insert most marginalized group at the moment here), only for them to relapse into their old ways here and there when they’re not getting constant validation for their white knightness. I think that Xanderhall guy was also originally into a lot of far right content. But you know what they say old habits die hard I guess.

I stopped watching Vaush not too long ago around when he had the debate with this woman. My understanding is she's not as pro-trans or even a TERF and their debate set off some hard feelings. I feel like some twitch/yt politics streamers are a bit disingenuous, or at least the job is. It's very hard not to change your mind a lot when you have donation money from a plurality of donors encouraging certain beliefs or behavior. He about-faced on neo-pronouns and xeno-genders for no reason. He recognized the muscle science behind trans sports restrictions, but that caveat to his position didn't stop him from egging on keffals and her community to get destiny banned for opposing trans women in women's sports. I'm not even against some trans women being able to play in some women's sports whether it's now or down the line. I just think it's a complicated issue that people need to read each others parameters on the issue and not chastise people as transphobic

This has been one of my biggest issues with Vaush by far. Vaush and other progressives are all in the same boat about selective bigotry being a no go and I‘d agree with that 100%. Like when they talk about Conservative trans women or conservative or far right poc. Nobody in this community would ever dare to use racism or transphobia against them even if they are a political opponent because we don‘t use selective bigotry. However, apparently ppl like Vaush seem to like to make an exception to when it comes to misogyny. Be it the refusal to take criticism of vaush‘s sexist comments or jokes or videos like this one. And don‘t get me wrong. I‘m about as progressive and left leaning as vaush is. But this is also why it frustrates me so much that he and his viewers think it‘s ok to be bigoted towards women though. And it certainly is hypocritical. But I didn‘t expect Much from him ever since the JK rowling thing happened. Vaush is just not capable of criticism, and needs an excuse to let out his misogny in a way he won‘t get cancelled over. And it‘s what makes me so mad especially as a nonbinary femme leaning person. The community just seems to not take sexism much too seriously and I think it‘s strange. Especially since it‘s a very progressive space. Apparently for some the terf movement, wich is terrible 100%, is enough of an excuse to justify woman hate and bigotry because they prove there exists bad feminism out there. But that doesn‘t mean that sexism is fine because of that. And I think vaush and others who agree with his take on that issue need to think about this more cause you can‘t preach about how you have a zero tolerance policy against selective bigotry but make an exception when it‘s a minority you like to be bigoted against or feel the need to be. You can be against terfs without being sexist just like you can be against conservatives without being transphobic. It‘s not that Hard to not be bigoted. Unless you actually feel a strong need to be bigoted against a group. Be it conchious awareness, or unconchious.

While Vaush did accept being misogynistic against JK Rowling in his tweet, he made very good points about why it should matter. He very clearly was misogynistic against JK Rowling, specifically to trigger her, and it worked. She is by far one of the most dangerous people to trans people and is the very archetype of a bourgeois, racist white woman who only uses feminism as a front to further her own ambitions. Making misogynistic tweets against people like that, I see no different as making white person jokes towards the many white redneck republicans in the US government right now. Feminism even was born with a very big sense of white supremacy, and we need to grow past that by burning the terfs like JK Rowling with their own hatred. Killing people with political opinions is bad, right? But it isn’t bad when those political opinions are fascist and have led to suffering. So what’s the real issue with Vaush here? Him making a misogynistic tweet to trigger Rowling, or Rowling being a propaganda tool to continue down the fascist path of lgbt suppression? I always just thought this was a direct way to antagonize Rowling, and I don’t see why we shouldnt fight against the old racist sectors of feminism: white feminism. And yeah, maybe misogyny isn’t the best way to go about suppressing these racists, but what else is there to do? Ask them to stop? Try to spread info against their disinformation? Or humiliate them like we are supposed to do with fascists?

It's cause on the intersection of white and male, frustration at not being able to do they want and get what they want quickly is hard for them to comprehend. They say the words "the world is unfair" but know it the least. Doesn't matter political spectrum even. The simplest way to disprove her would be asking her to articulate what she means and having her define what should be done. If he thought her equal and logically understood what that meant, the easiest route would be this.

I have to disagree on the part where you said that if people are calling certain LGBT people groomer that you have to say people teaching kids religions is grooming. No. Because what the specific part of the LGBT community that keeps getting called out is doing isn't simply "conditioning kids into believing a certain thing", those people have been intentionally hiding these things from parents and taking glee in it(like when a meeting between teachers was leaked with them taking glee in lying to parents about what they werr doing and when confronted by a parent said they didnt care and their higher ups backed them. Not everyone was laughing but at least 2 seemed to get a kick out of it), socially transitioning kids without the parents knowledge(in at least 2 instance I saw as soon as the kids left they changed back and were fine with changing and had bad feelings toward the teachers. The parents didnt have an issue with the kids being trans but with the faculty changing papers unong other things like not informing them. In one such case the mother confronted the school at a board meeting and confronted them because when they brought her into a meeting they blindsided her that her daughter was trans(which they had been transitioning her for a while) and she needed to accept it and they chastised her and were holding the daughter to them, when the mom was just confused. It was pretty hard to listen to it and the board didnt reallt deny it), making clubs and disguising it as something else and then telling the kids not to say anything to the parents, telling their kids their life story as teachers(which is frowned upon ingeneral as a teacher to do) and then "coming out" to their students as gay or whatever they are for validation from the kids and gain their applause(not so much a grooming point but just something I remembered and find inappropriate for an adult to do and wierd. It was a thing a number of them did and filmed for tiktok and cried about), takimg kids to drag shows where the performers dance sexually and then give the small children dollar bills to put into the waist bands of the performers(not technically sure if this is grooming but it is one of the types of things people are calling grooming), etc etc and a number of other things that these people put on the internet themselves most of the time and other times either the parents or someone inside exposes them. Just teaching a kid religion 9.5/10 is with the parent's knowledge and consent and isn't intentionally hidden from them and telling the kid to keep it their little secret. What the people who, rightly, get called groomers in that community are doing is ACTUAL grooming, just no SA. I do think that the term a lot of the time, on both sides, gets misused but I don't think the solution is to continue the misuse but do it to teaching religion to......."own" to other side
@ATurnip
@ATurnip Жыл бұрын
I don't think that happens more often than other sex crimes, though. I think the news media is zeroing in on LGBT related sex crimes right now to get Republicans riled up. I also find it hard to understand why a child would tell a teacher they think they're trans, but not their parents, unless said child had reason to believe their parents would react with insane rage and fury and beat them with a belt. I also really don't think kids should be taught certain religious beliefs. I was raised Christian, and being constantly told that the core of who I was was wicked and deceitful and depraved resulted in me dealing with a lot of depression and almost killing myself when I was a teenager...
@SpectreBagels
@SpectreBagels Жыл бұрын
@@ATurnip Well we don't know if it does or doesn't cause it's not like a study is being done to count these people. And so what if it doesn't happen as often, that doesn't mean it should be ignored. Also, the news isn't covering it, mostly the internet and KZfaq are, and I really dislike this whole "it's only to make this group mad", as if people who aren't Republicans aren't and couldn't ALSO not like what they are seeing. Also no one is "zeroing in" on LGBT people doing it. These numbskulls are putting this stuff gleefully out there for EVERYONE to pick up on, and they mostly ALL happen to say they are of the community. They wanted the attention and to be seen, they just didn't think it'd be that much negative attention Or or, and hear me out, maybe it's not always the extreme. I'd tell or ask teachers stuff before my parents, not stuff like this, but not because I was afraid of being beaten or berated but because I LIKED my teachers and wanted to talk to them about stuff to get closer to them. Most kids simply do it to curry favor with someone they like (they notice what the teacher gleefully talks about and the things they like, and then they indulge in it in order to have something to talk about to get closer. Its basics. Ive done it. Classmates have done it. And other kids explain they only did certain stuff to get the teacher to like them), not out of fear of their parents. Also the girl didn't tell the teacher she was trans the teacher ls CONVINCED her what she was feeling and thought about herself meant she was trans, and told her to keep it secret. The parents that came forward said they didnt care the kid was trans but that the teachers were assuming authority above the parents in talking to the kid about this, and hiding it. That sucks and im sorry but..........it's still not grooming like he suggested in the video. You can not like religion but that doesn't make it on par, as a whole, with what some of these people are doing. There isnt an inherent harm. Yes, some people use religion to harm others, but being taught religion, in general, doesn't do that. Not every religious parent teaches their kid to hate themself, some do and most don't, so being taught religion in general isn't harmful, let alone grooming since it's not hidden from the parents and the kids aren't told to keep it a little secret from them

@DoeJoeKid AnimeNovaCore I've seen so many news articles talking about this sort of shit, dude. Maybe it's not on TV, but news is still news when you read it in news articles online. Especially if it's from a legitimate news network. And, correct, there hasn't been a study done, so we don't know how often it's happening. Yeah, we should stop them, but people are using these cases to stir up hatred against the LGBT community as a whole over the crimes of what's most likely an extremely small minority. That's my point. And I'm not against all religion, but I don't really see how Christianity can be taught in a healthy way. It's about how we're all disgusting scum because a woman ate an apple she wasn't supposed to thousands of years ago. And how, despite the fact that our worthless and disgusting asses deserved to be tortured forever, God decided not to torture all of us forever and instead sent his son to die horribly so that he could instead torture MOST of us forever. I mean, how are you going to teach a child that without giving them massive self esteem issues?

@@ATurnip Uh well I'm Christian and my childhood self esteem issues had nothing to do with religion and what was taught to me. Similar to my classmates from my Catholic school, I'm not catholic the school was just in the area, and the religious classmates from my public school. It's really not that hard and SUPER simple to teach a kid about religion and not force self esteem issues on them. Most teachers and even my parents didnt say we were all scum and we were gonna suffer forever..........I feel a little concerned if someone actually phrased it like that to you as a kid. Cause what they said was plainly, people are capable of sin and explained, in simple terms as we were children, what sin was. And we got the story of the apple and sin but we weren't told we were disgusting and worthless because of it🤨. Just that we had to work to overcome it by living each day following the Commandments as best we could, and that if we stumble and stray we have to work to get back up. When God sent Jesus, front what I remember, people were directionless and sin was rampant. In a lack of better phrasing, Jesus was the reset button on people's ability to try and get out of sin and that salvation was still possible. Now I dunno, and I'm not accusing you of anything, if maybe you had self esteem issues and took what you heard as confirmation bias and a reason for your feelings. I say that because I've done that when I was a kid. Even if the way people phrased what they said differently from what I interpreted, my brain made what they said a part of what I already thought. Religion wasn't anywhere in this equation, if anything a lot of the things I took away from church and school helped me stay on the path I wanted to reach the end of, just living a life I can be proud of and trying to live the good values I want to see more of. So, to kinda sum up, it is actually SUPER EASY and common to be able to teach kids things, including religion, without actively making them out to be scum, it just depends on the person teaching it, not the religion itself. Sure when kids get older they can choose to not believe or just believe in their own way or just that it isn't for them or they will continue, but thats usually when they are older and delve into the nuances more to really understand what they are subscribing to, but not as a kid unless whoever taught them sucked, or the kid just didn't care much from the start.

@@SpectreBagels disgusting and scum were admittedly paraphrasing, but the part about everyone deserving to be tortured forever was a direct quote from my parents. And I was taught that since I was very young. Also "evolution's a fairy tale for adults" "gay people are in God's trash can" I wasn't told "everyone CAN sin" I was told that we're born into sin. I was also made to read chick tracts since I was able to read, so there's that.

1:11:06 actually I recall it being because she made the -incorrect- allegedly debatable statement that galadriel didn't fight in the lotr canon, though it has been some time since I watched the video, maybe that was just vaush's interpretation.

JK Rowling was never transphobic tbh. She was just stating facts and the reality. As a gay person, I don't understand why people find her tweets "offensive" at all. If the truth of reality is offensive, then I think it's the people who are offended who actually needs to reevaluate their view on reality.

She's not stating facts at all. What she says is literally in opposition to every established scientific and medical body on the planet. You won't find any that agree with her. Now she's cosigning self-admitted Theocratic Fascist Matt Walsh and supporting TERFs who literally harass misgender and make fun of Transwomen.

@@A86 examples? Cuz all I see are her stating the obvious, and it is biology. Men cannot be women, and women cannot be men. You can dress up, take hormones, go for surgery and look like the opposite, but you’ll never be one.
