Yes. I'll never understand the way Gaga treated this wonderful man. Can't support her anymore after hearing this. She's swimming in $$$. He almost gave his life to protect these beautiful dogs. He outright said he didn’t feel right having the next part of his journey to mental and emotional recovery to be solely funded by her. He’d rather that money go to others in need, an act she’s quite known for doing. You making the claim someone’s actions are shitty, despite refusing to do any sort of research, doesn’t make it fact.

I’m probably gonna get jumped for this, but I feel like Gaga wasn’t grateful enough for this man, he literally laid his life on the line for her dogs, if I had the money she had and he did that for my dogs, he would, at the very least, not have to worry about money for at least a few years…I just don’t like how “her team” handled that at all.

I work at a vet hospital in the kennels and there are two frenchies who board with us. I knew about the breathing issues but I wasn't aware of the skin issues being genetic. These two dogs have patchy, hive covered skin and sadly the owners don't keep up with the treatment. We call every time they board to ask if they want us to give them an exam and they decline. I can't imagine paying that much for dogs only to not care for them. When you give them treats or dental sticks, you have to make sure they are broken into tiny pieces because if it's too long, they will gag and regurgitate. It's so sad to watch them.

Had Bostons since I was born. My gma bred them with her father while growing up. Helped bring Bostons back to the states. Gma ended up keeping most of the pups herself or found someone she felt would care for the pup well. My Bostons farts were awful and always aimed her butt right at me. Bostons are a breed which also has brachycephaly breathing issues. Fortunately, most of ours were good and without issue.

I'm mixed on the matter. I think they're sweet dogs, with good personalities and their look is unique. I'd hate for them to no exist but I also just don't think we, as humans, should be continuing breeds too exagerated to where they have these issues. Or if we must, at least try and breed them back to their healthier, more reasonable dog-shape. While still maintaining a bit of their known features.@@marythewinter

If she was willing to give 500k reward... she should have given that to him as a "reward" for risking his life. He could have easily given up the dogs and walked away with a couple broken ribs and black eye. Someone so wealthy being stingy to someone that sacrificed for her... could have died. It doesn't sit right and I definitely think differently of her now.

This woman was willing to pay $500,000 for the return of her dogs, she should’ve given $5 million to the man who fought so hard to sacrifice to keep them safe. He could’ve just handed the leads over and saved himself the grief, but he didn’t. He fought tooth and nail and literally took a freaking bullet for her dogs and we’re sitting here saying that her paying for his medical care should be enough? I’m sorry no. @@justmeashley7923It was not her fault the dogs got stolen, or that he was attacked. It happened all the time in that neighborhood, and the attackers did not know who the dogs belonged to. Would have happened had he walked his own dogs. She paid ALL his medical bills and more. He said no to more and forcing anything on anyone is not okay. Heard of respecting a no?

To clarify, Ryan has said that Gaga took care of him for months, including paying all his bills and his salary, letting him stay in her home, ensuring he had trauma therapy, support staff and security. He started a GoFundMe for someone Gaga had said she would pay for because of issues regarding his faith and his feelings about being so dependent on her. I'm not sure where things went from there, but it sounds like she was doing her best to support him at the point that he discussed it. What he said after the fact doesn't match up with the narrative that she left him high and dry.

I never realized how smart cats were until I met and married my husband and he had one. One day I was going down our stairs and I slipped on the carpet. I wasn’t hurt but it did hurt in the moment. My dog barked and ran in circles and the cat came and sat on the stair right by my arm purring. She stayed that way until I finally got up which was a good 5-10 minutes before I got up. It was such a sweet moment. She calmed me for sure! Sadly she has had since passed but she was the sweetest cat ever!

On the medical bill situation: Lady Gaga did support Ryan for months. It’s honestly possible Gaga herself didn’t actually know his recovery wasn’t paid for since it doesn’t add up that she didn’t pay for it if she DID know? Cuz she sent him so much stuff for his birthday and for him the best therapist money could buy so obviously she paid for that. She might have told her team to cover his expenses and they didn’t and she never found out they didn’t cover it all because even if people were furious over her social medias that doesn’t mean she saw it.

As a foster/volunteer in animal rescue, I can tell you that we get more French Bulldogs with cleft palates than any other breed, and often when they are born with one birth defect there are others internally that can't be seen. About 90% of the cleft pups also have hydrocephalus. We take them as neonates and they must be tube fed. There's only about a 50% survival rate, usually if they haven't already nursed from the mother. It is inhumane to breed this breed, as well as many others.

I hate it. All these designer breeds. Look at all the poodle crosses. The pain they have to go through for grooming. Or they’re shaved and cold. I didn’t understand until I got one. I loved her to death but swore never again. She loved the dirt and it broke my heart to not let her play or play and then go through the bath and fur routine. The blow drying. The mats. I don’t blame people for getting them. No one speaks of the hard stuff.

I am sure there are sensible hair cuts for poodles. There are for other breeds. I once saw a Bernese Mountain dog with the fur cut short so he would not suffer so much during summer. Simply cut short, not shaved. The dog still has to go to the dog groomer, but I think this is the best option for dogs in need of a haircut.@@lobegirl8074

We were given a newborn cleft palate Frenchie after a breeder abandoned her at the vets. She developed hydrocephalus after about 2 weeks, and only lived about 5 weeks. What a sweet baby she was! Being born with several defects was too much for her but we are so glad we got to take care of her! Her name was Gladys.

These days in America, even middle class neighborhoods have doorbell cameras, they've really become very popular here. My daughter had to get one to deal with an ex, who then tried to pick a fight with me in the doorway, texted her to lie about it & then realized it was recorded. lol

As a vet thanks for talking about how many health issues frenchies have. They also commonly have spinal issues and being brachycephalic can predispose them to urethral prolapse. So so many health issues! Anyways. What I find really silly about dog napping like this and being willing to go to these lengths is so many dogs are microchipped which means the moment it was scanned at a vet's office to be registered it would likely be reported.

Lady Gaga is a pop star, one of the biggest ever who makes music. Music is a sound sequence that many people sing over making a melody. So Eleanor going over the huge pop star, lady Gaga’s , case about her dogs getting stolen is super cool. Oh and dogs are a mammal with 4 legs and make a noise that sounds like “woof” or “bark”. They come in all shapes and sizes aswell. Did that get through your small brain?

This video made me so emotional! I am a petsitter, boarder, groomer and trainer that specialises in the care of exotic birds. I love my clients and their pets endlessly and cannot imagine being in Ryan's situation. It seems that those pups knew how much he loved them, and I'd like to think that all of my birdies know how loved they are too! I hope he heals and finds all the love, purpose and good health there is.

eight minutes in but I just have to say: I love love love how you talk about Frenchies. They have boomed in popularity, and now it seems that there are more backyard breeders than there are reputable and ethical ones. And even the good ones that are few and far between for this breed still have frenchies with major health problems. When you first started talking about them, I was like "oh no, here we go," because I definitely was not expecting you to talk about the health problems. I am so glad you did :)

Thank you for mentioning the breed health- brachycephalic species really struggle. As someone whose starting vet school in September I’ve seen loads of cases of these breeds suffering due to irresponsible breeders 😢

Dude what we were saying about matching your sins to the part of your life that you are in was so relatable. I do that all the time like I coordinated it to events in my life so like if I’m going on a vacation, I will use one specific perfume that entire time, so that way when I think about that smell in the future, I think about the vacation, etc. I love doing that so much I am so glad someone else does!

Excellent work, Eleanor, as always!!! I’m a longtime subscriber AND a Frenchie mom! I have wanted a French Bulldog since I was in school but am very opposed to puppy mills and over breeding, not to mention the price. So I had accepted that I would never have one. Then a unique opportunity presented itself and was able to get my baby girl and I love her so much!!! I I’m so thankful Gaga’s babies were not harmed and Ryan was able to survive. What a hero!!!

Elenore referenced near the beginning that people got mad about people calling their animals names like that because they're not "human babies", which is what the original comment is in reference to. Gatekeeping names. Like only using "baby" to mean a human baby, as if an animal can't also be called a "baby".

My dog helped save my life by lying on me trying to keep me warm & was pouncing on my chest when I had an accidental fentanyl overdose. He usually would be very aggressive with strangers touching me, but I think he knew paramedics were there to help me and he let them take me. Dogs are capable of so much more and are so much smarter than some think.

My cat has a smooshy face. I didn't buy her, she's adopted, but she is a purebred calico scottish fold. Her adorable smoosh face and tiny ears aren't good for her. She's got breathing issues and joint issues. She's also the sweetest cat I've ever known. When she play fights me she never draws blood. Lil lady keeps her claws in and doesn't bite hard, and she's a cuddler. I wake up sometimes and she's lying on me.❤

Please cover the gitchie manitou murders … 5 kids go camping and 4 ended up dead and they drove the 5th one home …. The guys ended up getting caught and then escaped from jail! It’s a crazy story but it’s from my hometown and my hometown at the time was super safe … I mean who murders kids in South Dakota?

I would absolutely die for my pets, my dog is 8 years old and I have had him since he was 6months old. He is turely my baby and we have been through so much together. I would do anything for him.
