Don Dokken is a legend. I saw him play last night and briefly met him with my brother inlaw. Fascinated that he is so literate. I would love to pick his brain. Once again, a legend and a very nice guy.

It's so weird to think Don was "old" when Dokken became big. When their first album came out in America, he was already 30 ("old" in rock star years). He is one of the rockers I would love to meet. Seems like a down to Earth, funny, smart guy.

VinceMoroe Danzig was 40... Dave Wyndorf was 38.. if you're thinking of rocking don't let the gray hair stop you, it will keep you young..

30 is young dude! Especially in this day and age. Randy Castillo who drummed for Lita Ford and Ozzy, didn’t make it until he was 34. Rick Springfield was like 31 and Kelly Keagy was around the same age.. there’s heaps!

Dio sang for rainbow in the 70s so he was popular for a pretty damn long time. Can’t believe he’s gone.

Wow I never knew that Don was in foster homes. It ironic to me that I was also in and out foster homes and it sucked but at the same while I was going through that. Dokken's music kept me going.

George Lynch is a good dude. Before he made it with Dokken he worked at Best Records in Cerritos, California giving guitar lessons. Funny dude and very cool. I like Don Dokken becouse he is a class act, plus look what he has been thru. Very strong individual..

I've been listening to heavy metal for 25 years and have always known who Dokken were but never listened to them, probably cause it wasn't cool to listen to them where I was from, but as of the last couple of months I've been listening to them and have to say they are great, kinda cool to go through the Dokken catalog now, I still love the harder metal, but I've come to appreciate Dokken.

I WORSHIP the 80's for the music, and I can't praise the rock and metal from the 70's and 80's enough, don't think "all dem youngsters today don't know about REAL music". I'm 22, If it wasn't for the internet people like me would never have heard of Motley Crue, Danger Danger, Dokken, Firehouse, Warrant, Winger, KISS, Scorpions, Bon Jovi etc etc. People like, like in the 80's, would have to listen to whatever's available in record stores, on the radio and MTV.. most of which is TERRIBLE!

This is not boring. This is one of the first times I have ever heard Don talk. These interviews are educating. I just don't understand why he doesn't sing in falsetto anymore. I think he should just retire and stop comming out with albums or else he will ruin the vibe people had with his old shit. He will become like Def Leppard putting out shitty albums after their heyday.
