In this video, I will be discussing how much time I've put into chasing around stripers from primarily a land based approach. Most people do not truly understand how much time has to be put into "the game" until you yield results. Wow. Awesome dissertation on the experience of becoming a surfcaster. I love the honesty. Thanks for sharing man. Always good to know I’m not the only crazy addict out there and there are others experiencing similar things. Inspirational, even to to an old fart like me who took up the game a couple of years ago and is much more physically limited. The hardest thing is actually to try to fish within those physical and family limitations and still try to do it seriously and somewhat intelligently. And to realize that “time is running out” and I have a vast amount to learn and will never have the time to learn even a small fraction of it, yet still stay motivated to try. I’m wondering if during that several month period you described when you fished almost constantly you had some kind of breakthrough in your learning, or did you get too burnt out to learn. Keep up the great stuff. Highly appreciated.

i appreciate your input gratefully. As a matter of fact, every time I'm out on the water, it is a learning experience regardless of the frequency of going. Im glad that someone else out there shares this passion as heavily as me. As the old saying goes, the tug is the drug....tight lines.

After surfcasting for over fifty years and catching a bass over 60 lbs I've learned the only goals you should have is to enjoy a sun rise and a sun set . And those beautiful nights , enjoy. Tight lines!
