I set up a poll last week and of course you guys voted for another video of "The Haunting Hour" , so today we are going to be talking about the two episodes "The Dead Body" and "The Dead Bodies". which are HIGHLY recommended episodes, probably the most recommended for "The Haunting Hour".
When a Boy named Will makes a deal with a ghost to prank his two bullies and make them stop picking on him. The only issue is Will didn't know he was a ghost... He also didn't know what the ghost had in mind for him... What happens at the end of this Haunting Hour story? WATCH TO FIND OUT!!

I always find these kinds of episodes interesting. Jake was a horrible, vengeful spirit, yeah, but he was also just a kid. A kid who was relentlessly bullied and burned to death, and wasn't ready to go yet. Episodes of what I usually consider to be cheesy kids horror having sympathetic villains like that are very refreshing to me.

I always thought the sequel should have dealt with the bullies who killed Jake. They're kind of to blame for the whole mess in the first place. I also thought the Janitor was supposed to be one of the bullies all grown up. It was suspicious how he heard about some bullied kid getting burned to death and wrote him off as some strange kid who deserved it.

I remember watching the first part and I predicted that Will and Jake were going to switch places. Yet, the ending still shocked me. I think it was Anna phasing through Will that blew my mind when I first saw it as a kid.

If you ever want to see the goofiest episode of the haunting hour; then you need to check out the season 3 episode titled "Uncle Howee". The main villain is played by Tom Kenny, who is literally the voice of Spongebob Squarepants and just gives it a memorable performance.

I just have a minor unable-to- shut-off-logic-part-of-brain nitpick about the episode: Jake was dead for like 30-40 years right? There had to be TONS of bullies and nerdy or weird picked on kids throughout those decades. I know it’s a narrative for a tv episode, but why did he wait for will to make his deal? It’s also 100% ironic he became the very thing he hated and that killed him one he got his own life back.

You should definitely cover Spooksville- it's more obscure and a bit more serialized (think kids x files) but one episode haunts me to this day- basically this doctor woman accidentally gave herself serious burns in a tanning bed and ruined her skin/muscle and realized she could use kids tonsils to replace them? So under her coat it was just like a mass of tonsils in the shape of a human body holding her organs together- i remember even my mom who was in the room while i was watching it being creeped out

As someone too old for the haunting hour when it came out, and too lazy to watch it now, I love your videos on it. However, I just want a video on all the night of the living dummy episodes! I was so scared of slappy as a kid I hid behind the couch whenever the goosebumps teaser would come on, but after reading the books and eventually finding the courage to watch the show I absolutely loved the third one. This was the first episode of the show I ever watched. My brother told me about it and how he hated it. It disturbed him so much because the ghost won in the end. Tbh it made me a little upset as well lol. Like most I didn't know about part 2 until I started watching the whole series. Also holy shit that scene where he screams with the sharp teeth at the kid in the gym... That's enough to give grown adults a scare IMO lol

Holy shit I remember watching this episode about ten years ago, back when I'd watch shows without really keeping track of what's happening. I only saw the first part, but I could only remember the ending and asking my grandma why the one boy was a ghost, to which she said, "he sold his soul to the devil." And now, as with the other episodes you've gone over, I've recovered the memories of my experience when watching this show.

It went over my head, because, well, I didn't pay attention to most of the episode, and yet usually I was the one who had to explain what I was watching (she once turned off the tv while I was watching og Teen Titans because Jinx was being mean to the other Hive members), but holy crap, looking back it just all makes sense.
