I think the creepy predatory actions that Cassandra does, is a representation of the modeling industry in general how it is a controlling environment.

The creepiness of Cassandra in the car was probably intentional since it shows how predatory the fashion industry is towards teens (especially teen girls)

I see this episode as a metaphor for how toxic the entertainment industry, specifically modeling, is and the effect that kind of environment can have on a child star. Gracie turning hideous at the end as she tries to brag about being on the magazine cover to the old man represents how washed up celebrities will often try to cling to their former fame in order to receive the same relevancy they once had, even if their status has taken a turn for the worse.

I fuck with all the little elements of Cassandras predatory behaviour like the random tiger sounds and rubbing gracies hand, because if you look into the past of a lot of stars who were abused Hollywood very often poaches the kids they turn into stars by using modeling agencies

I remember this episode, the last 30 seconds is the only part that makes this one memorable, and caught me off guard the first time I watched it, especially since the special effects are amazing. It’s always a good day when Kingnusmi uploads!

This entire episode is a cautionary tale on being famous and how that effects you adn your loved ones and the negative effects some adults have on young people/kids who don't know any better. It literally warns you throughout to NOT trust Cassandra and to be a good person unlike Gracie. Cassandra is supposed to be uncomfortable because she's feeding on the emotions of these teens girls, she's feeding on their jealousy, their fears, their dreams. She is the adult who is taking advantage of a teen girl who's parents aren't paying proper attention to what's happening to her.

Seance is actually a season 3 episode. This is one of my favorite episodes. It's a great morality lesson. You can throw all of your friends and family under the bus and treat them terribly in exchange for fame and fortune, or you can be a decent person even if it means not being famous. Gracie chose the former. Initially it was tough seeing her friends get punished while she remained unpunished. In the end, she got the worst punishment of them all. Her original face now hangs on Cassandra's wall while her new permanent face is the face of a pig. It fits the way she acted and the choice that she made and it's a great lesson for kids. Cassandra is really the devil. The devil steals kids' souls by disguising itself by shapeshifting into the form of someone the kids idolize. The devil promises to give the kids all the fame and fortune they want in exchange for their soul. Gracie accepted the deal and paid the price.

My favorite thing about this episode is the awful stretchy spooky-face Cassandra makes, shortly followed by some genuinely unsettling prosthetic work on Gracie's face. There's something deeply funny to me about that contrast.

What a episode this is. And I like it. Fame may be great and all, but there's always some catch and some cost that happens. And it was Gracy's choice to turn away from her random desire for fame, but I guess she too fell to the temptation of fame. Since she didn't delete the picture herself, she became ugly. Also I have a feeling that Cassandra has a hand on manipulating her chosen victims to desire fame here. Anyways well done on covering this episode. Can't wait to see what episode of a different show or movie next or anything else next. Also Happy Easter on my end! P.S.
