I was so full of joy and love, but then something happened to me and then i got numb now i dont know how to come back there or feeling love again. I dont feel any emotions anymore. This is horrible.

How do I know if I'm numbing emotions? I feel so depressed even after years... its not gone away... my overall grief is much better... except I still have trouble doing simple tasks

Lost our son to suicide February 2021 then lost my husband of 42 years December 2021. It was like shock upon shock 2021/2022 for 2 years and now 2023 I am coming out of shock and I am not doing well. More bad days than good. My faith is the only thing I have, but I am so alone and I don’t care anymore

Maybe try writing out what the hurt feels like and how awful it is. All the pieces of the hurt, all the different ways that your life has new problems because of what has happened. I think the truth about the hurt and the truth about it being appropriate to feel sad over any hurt, helps me heal more than the tears, and can lead to releasing tears eventually, too.
