There's a slight raspiness in their voices that I love....its like a wedding ring that's been worn for years, the imperfections show the dedication
@jacobmcvay1238 ай бұрын
There’s 0 imperfections during this song. Don’t know what you’re hearing.
@SunshineSmiles1898 ай бұрын
I see where you’re going with it, but sadly, what you’re hearing is more from years of being rockstars vs. a commitment to musicianship. I’m an opera singer and a woman’s voice generally peaks in her 40s/50s if properly taken care of. A trained vocalist at their age here should not be struggling for their notes like that. That’s from too much booze. Alcohol destroys your vocal chords.
@jonathanbirch20227 ай бұрын
@@SunshineSmiles189 I know Ann Wilson had an alcohol problem but I never read anywhere that Nancy did. I think the rasp in the voice is more a stylistic choice (the rock n roll style of vocal with some grit)
@levivolaju8837 ай бұрын
"raspiness" you're talking about is actually a character in their voice. it's not "imperfection". that's what you usually hear when listening to rock musicians

Spare a little candle, save some light for me Figures up ahead, movin' in the trees White skin in linen, perfume on my wrist And the full moon that hangs over These dreams in the mist Darkness on the edge, shadows where I stand I search for the time on a watch with no hands I want to see you clearly, come closer than this But all I remember are the dreams in the mist These dreams go on when I close my eyes Every second of the night I live another life These dreams that sleep when it's cold outside Every moment I'm awake, the further I'm away (the further I'm away) Is it cloak and dagger? Could it be spring or fall? I walk without a cut through a stained glass wall (Weaker in my eyesight) Weaker in my eyesight, the candle in my grip (Words that have no form) And words that have no form are falling from my lips These dreams go on when I close my eyes Every second of the night I live another life These dreams that sleep when it's cold outside Every moment I'm awake the further I'm away (the further I'm away) There's something out there I can't resist I need to hide away from the pain There's something out there I can't resist The sweetest song is silence that I've ever heard Funny how your feet in dreams never touch the earth In a wood full of princes, freedom is a kiss But the prince hides his face from dreams in the mist These dreams go on when I close my eyes Every second of the night I live another life These dreams that sleep when it's cold outside Every moment I'm awake the further I'm away These dreams go on when I close my eyes (every second) Every second of the night I live another life These dreams that sleep when it's cold outside Every moment I'm awake...
