For your application it might be worth placing the oil cooler further away from the engine and add a fan with a temperature switch. To force some more air thru the radiator if it gets hot.

I'll certainly be watching this series, your vids are very informative. I already have an older Argo 6x6 that I rebuilt and modified a bit, wouldn't part with it, a real little workhorse. Now I'm thinking something a bit larger than your current project using a small truck engine so I can close it in and have interior heat. Canadian winters, you know. I've watched a million Russian vids and I don't speak Russian, but ideas are wherever you find them. Your vids will be a treat, very innovative and easy to understand. Good luck.

I like your style of "showing instead of telling" very much. Reminds me of primitive technology. I guess the hate for this style comes from people who never tinker around themselves and thus are a bit lost, as to what it is that you are doing at any given moment.

I always use Mobil 1 fully synthetic oil in all of my small engines. Smart choice. Also use fully synthetic in all of my vehicles as well.

I just started watching now so I have no idea what is your end result but you gotta protect that muffler from water as much as you can. Since the supports for the muffler are mounted to the middle of it it will rust through in no time, it's only about 1mm thick or so.

I based my homemade amphibious tracked machine off the Russian units. There is a lot of good info on the Cyrillic part of the internet. Good luck!

You do not need to separately measure the voltage of two batteries connected in parallel, the two measurement results are the same

uping main jet will help on low end toque worked on my hot hot lawn mower as those carbs ant got no enrichment pump so a bit rich help a lot

Are you in the UK? Interesting our industrial twin here in the US is usually a brigs vanguard twin or a Kohler... sometimes a Kawasaki. Almost never have any Yanmar’s sadly.
