What wonderful memories I enjoy...things not though of in, well, ages. I remember well the Blizzard of '93!! We had no power for three days, hence no heat. Thankfully, though barely aquatinted at the time, neighbors brought a kerosene heater over when they learned of our situation, which made it a toasty 54°. After 2 days of enduring 38° inside, sure felt good. We and the plumbing survived because of their kindness!! Thanks for your prayers. I'm a country lovin ol lady and I remember a lot of the things you talk about and show in your videos. I walked the woods a lot when I was a kid. I found a baby fawn once and carried it back home. It had been injured somehow. It sounded like a little lamb ❤ I called the game warden and he came and got it.Never found out what happened to it, but I never forgot about it to this day , I can relive that day.

We had around 65" of snow in 1993 in northern PA. It was amazing the high winds made drifts 10 plus feet deep. Don't want that much snow but we need snow to help the ground water levels! Praying for you and your wife. Rest and get well. We all enjoy the videos!

What a great blessing to have lived in these Blue Ridge and Appalachen Mountains as long as we have. Along with their customs and simple way of life. I think we've lived longer because of it. I haven't had the flu in about 10 years, but I got sick in November and it took about 2.5 weeks for me to get better. I was so sick I couldn't hardly do anything. Doctor didn't give me any meds. Said antibiotics wouldn't help. I took Aleve, drank water and tried to eat. Your channel is one of the best!

I will be praying for you and your wife. We really loved the last “As the Ridge Turns” were you scattered food for all the critters. Our Kitty’s eyes were glued to the screen during the whole episode. People wander through their lives wondering why we are here. I believe the Lord put us here to be a blessing to others. You certainly found your reason as your videos and kind words are a blessing! This Christmas was hard this year for me as I really missed Christmas with Mom and Dad, visiting our Great Grandma, and going to church together. We do have blessed memories. Donnie, if you're having cold or flu like symptoms you should try ginger/oregano/garlic tea. Someone told me about it earlier this year when I got sick, I drank about 4 cups for two days and then I was right as rain! It tastes disgusting, but it works!!!! 😹😹😹 You can find recipes online, I used fresh ginger, a whole head of garlic, and fresh oregano leaves, but you could use dried oregano leaves as a substitute. Sweeeten with local raw honey if you'd like. Hope this helps you and the wife! God bless and Happy New Year!!!!!❤️🙏
