The worse part is the previous levels lull you into a false sense of doing well. I remember the first time I played this level, absolutely brutal

Damn. I didn't expected that this level was gonna be the hardest of the entire run. And you can see how the dynamics of the monsters in Nightmare change as supposed to be on the regular UV Run. I didn't knew this take that long to complete but I can say for sure that this was an amazing run Decino

This is my favorite run you've ever done. Seriously fun to watch, and just tense as hell. Plus the outtakes are fantastic. This is the reason why I've repeatedly played this map for years.

"That means this is gonna be the run" And so it was The Run. Also daaaaamn that was intense. Almost finished with the first game though, can't wait to see DOOM II Nightmare 100% and see what the really "hard" maps end up being lol. A map that lives up to the name of the difficulty level even for you.. to me it's never even occurred to try Nightmare, but this is impressive, and the best part is that you show the struggle also it took to get there, just as in your streams.

Damn, I didn't realize just how hard this map could be, as I've never even attempted it with a pistol start let alone trying it on Nightmare! difficulty! I was today year's old when I found out it has no armor at all too! That successful run though, as much of a nail-biter as it was, was freakin' amazing! Blowing away the Cyberdemon at the end was definitely icing on the cake! Well done! Thanks for the intense yet satisfying video and stay safe out there!

Wow. That was incredible! Though yeah, this map was easily the best in my mind out of all E4 (though, all three early maps are incredible in various ways. E4M2 is really a master of a small space map) and is easily the best use of the Cyber Demon I have seen in commercial doom. Truly awesome! I don't actually remember much about the maps after this one mind you, though I remember them featuring a wood pallet. Then again, I also continuous play at the time because I thought that was how it was meant to be played, so yeah I might be unfair on them.

Congrats on the amazing run! I love how you could feel it was going to be the one just based on the first 10 seconds. Some might say it's a random guess, but NM runs really have a different flow and feel to every attempt - sometimes you just know from the start that it's going to be horrible or incredible.

This is the best video in the series so far, because of the high challenge. The thing that makes it awesome is how you record the commentary every time even on the runs that fail. Hope to see more challenging single segment maps in future after you get through the next 2 easy maps

Been looking forward to this for a long time and man, this didn’t disappoint. What a great run! This series has inspired me to beat Doom 2 on UV+ (on Xbox) with pistol starts. Was going great until I had to resort to saving on Tenements…

I cracked up laughing when I saw that almost half the video is outtakes. This level is brutal.

I saw the 15 minute video length and assumed that at least half the video would be outtakes. I'm glad I was right. That cyberdemon got yeeted, nice.

Watching this video has made me realize how Decino has mastered Doom even in the emotion control aspect. i would have freaked the F out on some of these deaths. Kudos to you man!

Half the video being outtakes? Yep, that's E4M6 for ya! I remember nearly giving up trying to 100% this map on Nightmare on the XBLA version years ago; I literally had to use the red key through the wall trick (that I didn't even know existed!) in order to beat it, and even then, it was just barely. Pure evil.

I love how caco that respawned at 8:13 and caused an outtake didn't even turn around, he just hissed and took the rocket And you can clearly see cacos' happy expression at 8:16 and 15:37, they are literally like "phew, finally, got him" And analysis video about at least fraction of darkest magic in doom code when ? There are soooooo many memey and special "RNG moments" that are just purest dark magic Those infamous damage rolls and 1000 IQ moments from demons, combined with how game may treat you can't be just a piece of code that's for sure This game literally runs on dark magic that plays with your soul and goes very deep into it and no matter if it's GBA port or PC version Anyways, congratulations, really nice and impressive !

You can tell how fun a map is by how often decine cries or how long he stays silent. This one's extra fun!

Exciting! I had actually no idea that this map has no armor at all, it's been a while. That's why it's so unforgiving even in UV. Imagine less radsuits or no invuln. This map on NM without the invuln, would it even be possible? Also yikes on death #5, you were so close!

I can see why this map gave you a hard time with tons of enemies with no Armor and CyberDemon can be a problem if you didn't use the Invun properly! 😱Nightmare mode is indeed Nightmare to beat! I love this map, especially the aesthetics. It's beautifully designed -- cave, fortress, the big "throne room" with lava pit, lots of atmosphere, lots of verticality, the cyberdemon fight at the end... Everything made of beautiful green marble. It's among the best work of John Romero. It's a pity he forgot to include armour. Even just a green armour where that invisibility sphere is at the beginning would make this map 10 times more fun to play (just like it is when you don't pistol start it). It would still be difficult, but it would be less infuriating.

Wonderful run! Very calm and effective. That was the moment that I expected on all this series. Players that made NM100S on E4M6 are on another level for me. Congrats!

God, the outtakes exude pain and suffering >__< They remind me of the years when I played hardcore World of Warcraft, dying over and over on the same encounter, striving to achieve the best possible rank in world progress on newly released content. I have NEVER seen a Cyberdemon get pushed off a cliff like that! You continue to amaze me my good man.

You know what’s crazy. Decino is like the professor of Doom. He knows the mechanics and science behind doom. He knows how an enemy ticks and how a weapon dishes out damage. Seeing him struggle with it, makes me feel better about my play throughs. It’s also a testament of why doom is still so active to this day. It’s not an easy game. Sure people like zero master can run through this as well but they too struggle from time to time. Doom will always have replay ability because it has a ceiling of difficulty that has yet to be seen. And the fact we have a professor of doom struggling with vanilla maps, it goes to show, there will never be the end of doom. Ever.

Oh yeah, this is the one I’ve been waiting for.

Watching you play these levels so well is honestly quite mind-blowing. When I did a pistol-start no save run on this level in Ultra-Violence last year, it took me 4 hours of constant attempts to finally beat it. The sad part was that there were multiple attempts scattered throughout my failed runs where I got the invuln and made it into the room with the CyberDemon, but because of bad planning my invuln would run out before I could kill it. Would have helped if I knew all the secrets, like the plasma gun in the beginning (and I think I didn't know about the supercharge, either).

One of my favourite levels this is one of few later levels playing when I was younger when I found all the secrets and always looked forward to getting to really like the design from the outside area to that indoor area that little side path with the lost souls and of course the cyber demon just all round I absolutely love it was looking forward to this one I can imagine though how hard this would be on nightmare haven't got to the outtakes but I can imagine anyway as always Cheers for upload decino. I would like to ask everyone to wish my little rabbit good luck and good health going forward my little zenni is going to the vets tomorrow for a operation and I'll be honest I'm worried I have every bit of faith in the vet's but it's just one of those things I love my rabbit as much as I love my dog and just the thought of anything going wrong breaks my heart but fingers crossed all will be OK though I will be not sleeping for the next week as I'll be watching over her during the night. fantastic run man, never realized this map had no armor! fun fact for other viewers, cyberdemon and spider have the same weight as a baron, so that's why they kind of get thrown around more than they honestly should
