19:05 - advanced pro strats, punching rockets for low dmg rolls

That blind run was the most nerve-wracking video ever. I had my heart in my mouth the whole time and I practically screamed in frustration when the whole screen went red. So close! And then wow, you returned and showed just how much strategic thinking can help in Doom. So entertaining!

I really like the new format where you're doing the blind run *before* the actual run instead of putting it at the end.

Despite your blind run death, you were extremely clutch in the first two cyber encounters--really fun to watch. Great work!

Funny and admirable thing about this wad so far is that the traps are so incredibly hard and yet they still give you the chance and enough resources to process, plan and execute your strategy just like you did with the two first Cyberdemon rooms. Even something like Plutonia (especially in the earlier maps) has some of its difficult moments made out of some cheap traps, while this wad is getting much more difficult and yet more fair to the player. Also, congrats on the blind run. Even though you died, that was insanely well played.

Amazing blind run. The way you quickly read and react to ambushes exhibits a very different skill set from what we see in the rehearsed videos; these failed runs are often more impressive than the successful ones.

0:50 One thing Sunlust has going for it is that usually it let's you get an idea of what you're up against instead of just throwing everything by surprise all the time.

The switch in the beginning, in the chaingunners' room, is a switch from Hexen, Beyond Heretic. Awesome game. Dark Medieval, Fantasy Doom.

Ah, Oneira. The moment where Sunlust starts playing with the blue colors for some STUNNING maps. Aw that was really sad, you got scammed _right_ at the end! :^(

The fact that you survived the blue key ambush AND the BFG ambush right after that in your blind run is nothing short of amazing, mate. You're better at Doom than I'll be in a thousand lifetimes.

Oneira is Greek and it means dreams, pronounced "o-knee-ra" and toned on the "o". Heh, the idea of this map taking place at night, after the sun has set is fitting

I guess the level designer must be a chrono cross fan. That's SIIIIICK because it's a criminally underrated game IMHO and the sound track from this level is from an amazing part of that game. Excellent gameplay BTW!!! Nicely done 👍

If anyone is curious about the music for this level, it's called the Dead Sea, from the game Chrono Cross. A great tune and one of my favorite vgm's. However the midi in this wad doesn't represent it nearly as good as the ingame version of CC.

Man, the blind run was quite the survival!. You really deserved to escape but the map was so unforgiving.

THIS is the type of Doom challenge I think is underrated. I'll take low ammo runs over confusing puzzles/mazes any day.

There's something very artificial about this map, almost like it's a Doom museum or something ;)

Wow, Brutal Doom changes the monster start points ever so slightly, but enough to make a huge difference in strategy.

Music it's so relaxing. I really enjoy it.

That hell knight got pay back for the last video you said, 'who gets hit by malee attacks.' The hell knight remembers, and gave you something to think about.

This map is a battle for resources. The blue key switch trap at the end is a pain in the ass due to the positioning of the Cyberdemon. Plus the bfg trap is nasty since sometimes the barons and Cyberdemons instantly target you. Or you get trapped due to weird map geometry. Anyways, this is the first real test in sunlust imo.

Oh man I feel like such a dumbass now, I was playing this map casually earlier to remember how it went and in the blue key room I spent several attempts bumping the cyber and then very carefully and tediously getting him to kill hell knights while dancing around away from the edges of the room so I didn't wake up any imps. I didn't once think about whether there was enough room to just squeeze in and hit the switch. Arguably a cheese, but I can only be impressed.

I don't remember if this came before or after Swim with the Whales but you can see the influences between this map and that. I'm not the biggest fan of his slaughter maps but man Ribbiks can make some beautiful maps.

Great blind run! But in completed run you had piece of luck. 20:49 - 8 dmg by hell knight. Is it legal? :D So, it was second best map of this WAD in my opinion. Next map will be my favourite.
