Impressed at how dense this map is, not just for it being small, but the enemies are all placed in very inconvenient locations, even if there's only "a handful" of them, it's really a thing where it looks as if it's a lot of effort to find any sort of safe space in this map Also: It was really fun watching you uncover more and more of the map with you persevering a bit on the blind runs. I really loved this map, although it was a little easy, I loved the design and the yellow key thing! I loved your tactic of just punching everything! It is a really good map the pistol start and really nice into into MAP 24: Dying on Cue that is not SUPER hard as long as you have the right technique, but has a lot of demons. Map 28: Maelstrom and map 30: God Machine are the true horrors, but with the latter being one of the most amazingly designed map i have ever had the pleasure of playing and can not wait to watch you play it. Keep the amazing work, Decino :)

You have very impressive spatial memory. You could really take advantage of that with deathmatch or speedruns. Your last blind run was amazing.

That was honestly one of the more exciting videos I’ve seen from you for Sunlust. I was really rooting for you on your blind run and I was on the edge of my seat during your berserk tactics.

I think its quite a shame these sunlust videos dont get as many views as the informational doom videos, i really enjoy this series.

I'm not sure if you know but the raised platforms you have to jump between that take you to the second section (chaingunners with archies) have the skeleboys on blocks on either side. These blocks are actually teleporters which can get you the megasphere earlier alongside with telefragging the mancubus. Also around the Mancubus platform there are around 8 rockets which help for later fights. Not that you needed it as you just punched 90% of the map.

I'm always left wondering what lies in between the blind run and the successful one and it feels great to watch the progression. I'm assuming making a video out of the whole process would be much, much too long for most runs but I'd personally be more than happy to tag along if you were to accidentally upload some eventually.

With the earthy textures and the relatively small monster count, this map feels like it could have come from Crumpets (another wad by Ribbiks released in the same year as Sunlust).

Excellent condensed map. Felt like a fool missing the last 2 secrets on my win run, but I had to go for it. XD

This is a good demonstration of how a small map with a low monster count isn't necessarily easy or short - in the true plutonia tradition. :)

Wow, nice map! I've never seen this "pay-for-the-enemy-you-want-to-fight" style. Yeah, other times you just have to push buttons, but this layout I feel is unique!

You can reach that final yellow switch, the megasphere secret and obtain the BFG before going to the red key area. You accomplish this by an SR40 across the small platforms the 2 imps are on right next to your spawn location into the small indent on the platform where the teleporter is.

I liked the multiple blind runs in this video. It's cool to see how you react to encounters, and the latter set of maps in Sunlust just aren't really beatable in a blind run, especially pistol start.

This is the only map so far Ive won on a blind run, but I am playing HMP not UV. Always fun to watch your UV plays after I beat a level here. 24 is giving me fits right now, hope things dont get crazier lol

Watching decino playthroughs of wads have inspired me to always pisol start with no saves at all. I used to pistol start always cause it more fun to have to ammo manage but used a couple quicksaves per level. Now i feel like a bitch if i use a save so i manned up. Almost through going down with no saves pistol start UV and let me tell you its a whole new game without any saves whatsoever oh my lord.

The music in this level - I knew I heard it somewhere before. After looking in my iTunes library and SPC libraries, I think I've found it. It's the "Introduction/credits" music from the SNES game Secret of Evermore. It's not the whole track though, it's just the first part of it looped over and over.

Nice, kinda creative map. Dont worry about deaths.. you can not dodge 100% of stuff coming your way all the time.

I really liked the retries. Sure, it may be a little unfeasable for a video when it's a large map and without practice you die over and over after 40-50 minutes in each, but for smaller maps, it keeps it interesting in that the viewer doesn't know if you make it or not [unless they keep checking the duration]. If you ever get to do say, scythe, it'd be interesting to just see all the attempts since I assume you're already familiar with the levels.

Again AV1, wtf? KZfaq loves Classic Doom too :P

Just a heads up on MAP24 - check out the extra notes for it if you haven't already. It has a cool GZDoom-only feature that I think you'll enjoy. :)
