the "stationary", "pathetic" archvile in that side room in the central hub can sometimes get loose in the room with the revenants (maybe if something else teleports to that little square first and blocks him out and into hitting another linedef?) which is always a fun, potentially run-killing surprise

"Attempt number 7" That's how you know it's going to be a good video. The kill count in this level is pretty deceiving though because most of the enemies are in that massive slaughterfest at the end. When I first played this map I thought I was in for one of those hour-long slogs like BTSX is so fond of (which is why I still haven't finished that WAD yet, I have to block out my afternoon if I want to play a level or two...)

That one revenant that died from the barrels in the beginning must feel like a true fool

45 minutes 1800+ monsters "Dying on cue" Attempt number 7 Seems like we've finally found a map pack that can consistently get the better of Decino even on a good day. At first this had my interest. But now it has my attention.

That last arena must have been giving you Okuplok flashbacks. The giant horde of enemies, continuously firing the rocket launcher with the occasional BFG blast, all in a giant arena.

Outtakes 3 and 6 are my favorites. Big Boi just scams you as you walk right on by, and then you just take that Hell Knight fireball like a champ. Still cleared it, which is more than I'll ever be able to do.

Sunlust blind runs are by far my favorite videos it's the best when we expiernce the map with u for the first time

I just finished this map myself. What a great map. Probably my favorite in Sunlust so far but man, the explosions at the end startled the heck out of me.

The entire run I was wondering just where they would fill in that THOUSAND DEMONS left to kill. Was not disappointed, though I was laughing my ass off at the bloopers. Sorry Decino, I swore a couple time in this map and this is a 100% holy Christian channel.

*Dying* in cue * Level starts with 10 revenants and some archviles * Yep this is probably gonna make you start *dying*

I love this map. I also despise it. If you take the beginning section one line def at a time, it's not so bad. I thought the cqc situations with the Cyberdemons are what put it over the top for me. Besides that, the pain elementals are the scariest thing at the end. The invulnerability make the archvile trap more manageable, even if it is pretty stupid imo. No more easy maps from this point forward. Difficulty: hard Also, watching your LP of sunlust inspired me to try sunder UV pistol start. I made it to map 4 without saves, fuck map 05 since I'm not a fan of platforming in doom. Even still, I managed to beat it. Map 06? Nope. Even with saves, it took way too long and I just didn't have the patience to continue. Good luck on the next map!

This map was fun. You are starting to enter the parts of Sunlust that is VERY hard to do pistol start. from this point on, i struggled a lot to get through the, but you are far better than I. The next map. Proxyon is VERY fun and one of my all time fave in Sunlust! too bad no blind run through :( Keep the amazing vids, I am a big fan!

I kept only trying a few times a day, but today, I simply woke up and worked it out. Good grief the section right after the beginning gave me the most trouble. I would corner myself and get sneak attacked by the cyber. Everything after that though I worked out pretty cleanly. The 6 arch-viles on the towers though felt like I got lucky, oh well. XD Always feels good to beat one of these levels and relax while watching how you did it. 5 levels to go.

I couldn't wait to watch the end of this map, it took me so many reloads to beat this with saves, so as always, i'm impressed

Gives an appreciation for the work that goes into a final playthrough. Many deaths lead up to it, much trial & error. Watching it is like watching an action movie: the viewer vicariously beats the odds by identifying with the protagonist, but without all the effort. Like watching Chuck Norris fight. Doing this map is beyond my ability (I wouldn't survive the first 2 minutes), but I enjoyed watching it done by a pro.

Ooooh man....that death at 42:28 hurt. From 200/100 to 34/18 from a direct Cyber Demon hit followed up by a Hell Knight finisher a second later... that was perfect timing from those monsters.

Did you know that if you took the amount of archviles in each level of plutonia and counted all of them in the hardest difficulty is 99

Pistol start makes these last two maps much more difficult. Here it's all about crowd control and not getting overwhelmed, so starting with a BFG makes a huge difference. So these videos make me really appreciate the skill required on pistol starts.

Definitely a mean level but it gave you a challenge. I'm loving the increasingly dark aesthetics. Looking forward to the last few levels and bloopers they'll have to offer.

I liked how the video spent some time on the opening battle during the blind-run segment, and focused on how fearsome it seemed at first, before revealing that it was *nothing* compared to all the ever-escalating sequences that follow.

The design and scenery of these levels is just pure beauty. The look like they came fresh out of my dreams. Minus well, the 1800 demons in the way.

I know you said several times that your successful attempt was your 7th, and outtakes are proof that even you die sometimes, but man you make this look so damn easy. Entertaining as always

I died a lot on this one but once I finally got to the big end arena, I nailed it on my first attempt. Used the tried and tested U-shaped movement and managed the hordes pretty well as I dodged projectiles. Quite pleased with myself there lol. That arch-vile disco room, though. I somehow did it without the invuln because I had already used it earlier!

This is the point where Sunlust really takes pity on HMP players. Certain Archviles replaced by Revenants, Barons replaced by Knights, and most of those bodyblocking Spectres don't spawn in at all. Frick, in map29 you don't even get the first string quartet (knowers will know). Good luck with Proxyon, one of the top 3 hardest maps. Anyone fancy claustrophobic close quarters? At least the green looks nice...
