This definitley a good looking WAD ive seen it comming by on youtube. I really like that RPG element, i wondering if it comes back in the other maps? It is on mine list to play but first i have to finish Eviternity 2.

@@cilian8462 They were created by 40oz after Doomworld banned him for some petty reason. Since the Cacowards are managed by Scuba Steve, a Doomworld bigwig, they are off-limits to Doomer Boards Projects as a "punishment".

Always been a fan of DBPs and this is one of the best and most unique. There's some real wizardry going on in a wad that only requires a limit-removing port. Steampunk delights.

GL on the playthrough, hope you enjoy. Here are a few random tidbits about this map from development: - Even though many players dislike monsters that pop-up from the floor, that tech powers all of the quests in this map. - Part of this map (where Mr. Raincoat's home resides) was included in the original demo map showing off the theme to the team, along with small pieces of several of 40oz's other maps. - The tiny bits of story from the female NPC at the beginning and end of this map are what inspired the rest of the story in this wad.

This DBP is imo on par if not better than DBP37. So many cool and creative ideas on display here and the maps themselves are really fun to play. 40oz and co did a great effin' job!

I seriously consider it to be better than 37 by a comfortable margin, which is a statement I do NOT make frivolously. AUGER;ZENITH was already in the clouds, and Zeppelin Armada hits the ozone layer.

It depends. I think the highlights of 37 is *really exceptional*, but I think this WAD as a whole is an amazingly coherent campaign that showcases. It feels better paced like an actual campaign and it seems far tighter and refined. Which is truly a testament to the community I think in particular maps 4 and 5 blew me away, and the run-up to the end is a slam dunk with no pulled punches. This WAD also has some pretty cool storytelling that I enjoy. It really does feel like a pulpy heroic adventure, sidequests and all.

Zeppelin Armada is great. Combat is easy, but the style and presentation are something special. Worth to keep in mind this is all vanilla (limit-removing). And it was completely ignored by the Cacowards.

And in the action rpgs, Zelda: A Link to the Past & Link´s Awakening, and last but not least, Castlevania: Symphony of the Night! Been wanting to try the Fallout and Wasteland series, but haven´t gotten to it!

I would not have been surprised if the cat as a quest giver had looked less realistic and more like out of Lackadaisy Cats - would have fit right in... :)
