Which slug and weight are you running and at what velocity works best out of your rifle? Also, is it .22 cal? Great shooting. Looks like a great rig for NRL and PRS!

I run H&N 34’s and Altaros 40’s. The Altaros are quite a bit more expensive and you have to run them slower but they do battle higher wind days better then the 34’s. I am tuned right now to run both so I can switch between them and only have to tweak the zero on my scope. I have that wrote down so I can just pop my scope turrets up, reset and I’m good to run the other one. Both are great slugs to use and are very accurate. I run the altaros at 944 and the H&N’s at 1030. Also the H&N’s due to expansion are a much better option as a hunting slug. It’s a great rifle for PRS and NRL I’ve spent a lot of time tuning, testing, building some custom parts and learning what I can do and can’t do when compared to the rimfire side.

@@Competitiveairgunning - Thanks for the info on slugs! I bought bunch of different weights and brands to test. I have several H&N variants. I have also ordered a slug press and dies. As much shooting as it takes to practice for competitions, I think it would be very handy to make my own as well, at least for practice. Where are you located? I'm in Nashville, TN.

@@haroldrushton6735a slug press is a must if you do a lot of shooting. I got one in my cart just haven’t hit the buy button. You don’t save a bunch from what I calculated but you gain consistency, quality control and the ability to customize and have access to slugs your gun shoots well. Dish base and boat tails are my favorites. I’m just south of Kansas City.

@@Competitiveairgunning - My main interest in making my own slugs is accuracy and consistency. (Looks pretty rewarding as well to make your own.). I'll let you know how it works out once I get the press here and work on it a bit.

Good shooting...Side bar - how often are you cleaning? I have noticed up to a 2 MOA shift in POI after pulling the bbl and cleaning it.
@Competitiveairgunning2 ай бұрын
I don’t pay attention how often if I’m being honest. I’ve probably ran a thousand rounds through it since the last time but I’m going to run a couple patches through it. Definitely anytime you take that barrel apart you can or will have a large POI shift. It’s the downfall of the pieces that go into that setup. Have you tested to see if you experience a POI shift if you mimic hitting the barrel on something?
@PrecisionQuest2 ай бұрын
@@Competitiveairgunning I haven't tested the amount of shift by barrel knock, however I have noticed a POI shift from knocking the barrel. A guy has to be super careful in the ladder and tree props to not make contact the barrel. So far I haven't used my Panthera in comp yet, but might do it in the May NRL 22 event? The gun seems to shoot well in practice, but still am getting consistent back to back grouping issues. thks

Hı Did you have AMP reg or Huma reg?
@Competitiveairgunning2 ай бұрын
Running the amp regulator. I’ve debated on upgrading but figure I’d wait until this one fails
@murathayta32112 ай бұрын
@@Competitiveairgunning So,Do you have regulator creep with AMP. If yes, how much bar creep? Thanks.
@PrecisionQuest2 ай бұрын
@@murathayta3211 Mine creeps from 250 to 240 - 235 ish bar in 2-3 days...edited spelling and added that overnight my digital gauge always climbs by 3-4 bar.
@Competitiveairgunning2 ай бұрын
@@murathayta3211 I usually dont have any creep unless it’s due to have some work done on it. Once the piston is polished good, washers are polished good and the orings are replaced you can avoid the regulator creep. Factory parts are going to be scarred from being machined and orings may or may not seal properly from the machining, but a lil work with some polishing paper and it’s night and day difference.
