@@darksplash2191 from what I have seen on the costreams, he originally was defending Busio for the Azir pick and as they went on he has gotten more critical of things such as that even going as far sometimes to say that he feels like he is Busio's coach. I don't think its drama/bad blood, but I do think it made a working relationship difficult whereas Massu seems to fit with Busio much better ie willing to try things and improve together rather than only focusing on the support

Same here for me. I am financially in a really bad place and just lost more than 2 thousand dollars worth of things + all of my childhood photos while moving. 4 month ago I dislocated my ellbow and now I have a permanent damage and cant straighten my main arm. (maybe in like 1 year or something not sure yet, just hope it wont be for the rest of my life) That said we cant forget that we dont live in north korea or some shit and we gotta be thankful for what we have. Yeah that segment was kind of disappointing. As someone who watches Destiny, I think they're actually right about some things like how his style is by definition going to include being bad faith at times, since he gets into heated arguments, and Destiny himself admits that he won't back down and will only reflect on things after the fact, however I think some of what they said is outdated (he used to be much worse about it, so that's probably what they remember) and also the fact that they said he bullies people by being very woke is definitely not the case. Oh well, I think they could actually have some interesting civil conversations with him if they wanted to, but also I feel like they're all opinionated people where one thing could set off an argument and make them hate each other more haha, so I don't see things changing

What I don’t get is why it has to be so extreme nowadays. There’s multiple champs sitting at 55% or more win rate all the time, often in multiple roles. I think it was in season 9 when they buffed AD Neeko to 58% wr accidentally. Guess what, they hotfixed it and kept nerfing it out of the game because noone wants to play vs a CC mage that auto attacks you like a 6 item Kog‘maw. 5 years later they just needed to buff AD TF to the point where he’s a viable ADC and top and they just leave it for weeks. I get that players are gonna test out an unfamiliar champ when it gets buffed and that excites them + sells skins. But do we have to have Maokai, Zac and Twisted Fate run soloq and pro for 3 months straight?

@@ParallelZuVega One possible explanation is that they don't actually know what they're doing, another is that they don't actually care what they're doing, and the third one is that they're doing something else altogether cosplaying as a gaming company It's a bit like modern schools cosplaying as needed for development or whatever while being anything else but They unironically made the game (and not just the last few years) about being a little passive-aggressive bitch, not trying to win hard enough so that you would burn out and bottling up your [often very justified] frustrations So it's not a game or a business first and foremost - it's a sandbox for 'the boys' (whatever their higher management inner circle's called) to have domain over You can see the same things in places like Soviet Union - it proclaimed to be the paradise for the working class (even though initially there wasn't much of a working class) in the making meanwhile turning the whole country into a military plant (unironically) and populace into slaves The only real difference is that Riot have to deal with competition (somewhat), that they can't force as many people to deal with them, and that they keep most of their powers in a videogame (if someone wants to draw that distinction) Other than that, it's just not what it says on the tin, it's not what they actually care about, and there are bound to be some "inefficiencies" To be fair, Riot is a gift that keeps on giving in many ways and the fact that no one has made a successful League competitor (in my opinion) should also tell us something about the world we live in Yes, Riot is a dictatorship but whenever I see a despotic regime in history or nowadays I have to start wondering how much the normies are to blame for the situation My current incling is that 'a bit more than completely' Riot may be as bad as they may be but their commercial success must mean that there are enough downers tolerating whatever bullshit that they're being fed and not withdrawing their financial support from a company that treats them worse than cattle TF not being hotfixed for 3 months is, in my opinion, a reflection of moral poverty that the humanity is living in I honestly think that we should fix the "demand" part of that problem I think that once there are enough people with a spine in the world they won't even have to fix most problems - the problems will just evaporate away

Saying Zwyroo played good in that Neeko game overall is crazy to me. He made at least 3 game losing plays but got carried to the win. If nameplates were off i wouldn't have known it wasn't perkz.

perks wouldn’t have done the 2 great roams and the 2 fight winning ults… and would have done 3 game losing plays… zwyroo is doing fine for an LEC debut, he gets caught but he’s holding his lane well, he helps his team a lot, he’s not parasiting ressources, benching perks = good move

I disagree with them saying that it would be unfair to the new players if an old champ is being played and them not knowing what it does. Its like how a new champion comes out, you find out during the game. Heck I would say more than half the time people have no idea what these new champs do even after watching the damn video..they have complicated the new champs. The old champs are simple and easy to understand

Everyone is on the same playing field with a new champ and have the same amount of time to master them. A veteran player can pull out an old champ they used to one trick 6+ years ago and gap a new player who has never played against this dated style of champion. I don't necessarily think this is unfair, as that veteran is using his experience as his advantage, but I do see the point they are making.

Riot seriously have a problem lately with releasing champions that are just overloaded and they rework them a trillion times, can't fix them and overnerf them. See Zeri, Ksante, Yuumi now Smolder... They just don't make sense in League of Legends with all the other champs.

I think you guys are overestimating how difficult it is for new players to start playing. My wife started playing at the beginning of 2021, whereas I began in 2013, and she's had very little trouble remembering what champions do etc. She doesnt play PC games of any kind, but she loves league. If people like playing the game, they will learn it pretty easily. As far as getting new champions and skins for free, its actually the easiest its ever been. Yeah 164 champions or whatever the number sounds rough at first, but its really not unless you sit down and just start trying to memorize it all without ever playing. My wife is nailing it and she doesnt watch guides or anything, I help her and thats about it. My wife also loves watching the pro scenes too.

I think what makes playing for bot to counter Smolder is that theres grubs and support is allowed more gold to support the team allowing smolder to waveclear. Kill lanes would be the way to go but with other objectives there isnt enough time. There is a ridiculous power curve from 125 to 225 and he became my fastest lv7 champ. His waveclear is ridiculous he is a ad that can be let alone to stack. Q W R can all be used to be safe. He plays like an extreme ability caster with no use for aa besides fleet speed boosts. I do like playing him but rito loving the power dragon fantasy. 😂 Crit ads in theory should outscale due to the builds of smolder, and the inherent stacking of cdr. I do think at the moment samira is the only typical adc that just outright beats him within a kill lane.

The thing i really don't understand behind the design of smoulder is why do you get so heavily rewarded for stacking when no other stacking champion works like this? Nasus is linear as is veigar, imagine if nasus gained range on his autos from hitting a certain number of stacks, it would be absurd. Not to mention the reward you get is a fucking EXECUTE on a RANGED CARRY CHAMPION THAT THEN HAS SPLASH DAMAGE. Unreal how champions like these come into the game.

as far as the One tricks crying about their champ being locked for 2/3rds of the year, I honestly think the mass majority of people who are one tricks, (myself included) will more than likely just find 2 other champs to one trick during those other parts of the year. I think the feverish ones who will refuse to play the game if they cant play their one champion are much much fewer. i think the majority of people would just pick up 2 new champs and call it a day. "I one trick tryndamere in the spring, I one trick singed in the summer, and I one trick teemo in the winter :)" type vibes. That would be my expectation at least.

I’m sort of a soft one trick where I just one trick a champ for a few months or sometimes a whole season, but then I switch it up and one trick something else that I really enjoy. I don’t know how people literally play a single champ for years and never play anything else. Like the guys you see with 5mil+ mastery. That’s crazy. There’s just too many fun champions in this game to only play one. If you only like one champ and none of the other 150+ you probably just don’t like the game very much let’s be honest lmao

Early in the video, but they are going on about how doublelift "doesn't realize cause and effect" and is surprised that they wouldn't want him on the team but he specifically addressed this in his clip where he went over the tweet. He's on record saying he doesn't really care about if they didn't want him on the team (he said he knew it woud be a longshot of a team idea too), it's just the TWO FACED nature of Dodo that upset him and how he believed Dodo was lying to steve/not acting in steve's intent

I feel like the MilkyWay to Faker comparison is a hard stretch. The era that faker played in is so different in terms of skill discrepancy than current day. He is more similar to players like Bo, Showmaker, Prince, Canyon, Chovy. There’s a lot more recent examples of Stars from the start. Or at least extreme upside players IMO

Karmine is a UFO in esports. it is a team that came from the poor Parisian suburbs and can say feck you to an investor and not go in LEC yet coz it would lose control. it is a team that can once in a while take a decision for the fans rather than for results. Of course even to do that he has to reference an American comedian's bit! I guess he ran out of LoTR and D&D analogies this month? And talk about hypocrisy, he claims DL is on the Co-stream endlessly reminiscing about the old days--ImaQTpie, Scarra etc.--when that's actually Thoorin's gig! How many YEARS did Thoorin talk about his hero Froggen after that guy had been fossilized? How many thousands of references to Rekless has he made? I usually agree with you guys but the doublelift section was very misinformed. He said multiple times hes 30 and not the best adc, he said he knows dodo doesnt like him because he didnt try hard in spring and his actions have consequences. The drama was the fact steve "allegedly" wanted doublelift and jojo. But dodo blocked it and ended up getting neither because dodo wanted to get his friends onto the roster. The real issue the disconnect between the owner and manager. If dodo isnt acting in steves best interest then hes not doing his job. There is a chance steve and dodo were on the same page which is why dodo isnt fired. But the drama isnt about doublelift thinking hes amazing.

Modern art is vary miss represented. It can be a total misss aka shit but if a piece of morden art talks to you it is much more powerfull than a classic piece in my humble opinion. I also use to look down on it nut a friend got me into a museum of modern art and my opinion swapped realy fast. Big point modern art should be consumed in museums otherwise it doesnt make much sense

I believe doublelift 100% about dodo, dodo is an incredibly suspicious individual. I didn't like him from the very beginning. I do think jojo used doublelift because jojo is a veey selfiah self centered person.

If anyone actually watches Destiny, you know that everything they said about him now is just wrong, and if they did follow his arc, he talks about his prior self (when they knew him) and explains, why and how he changed, and what he hasn't. You would also know that he hates the left as much as the right, they seem 5 years behind the times. The comparison with Slasher tops it off as Destiny called Slasher and the whole fucking internet out (left and right) on r/wallstreetbets stuff 2 years ago , on his own before GameStop crashed and wrote a manifesto on the whole fucking thing before everyone else. You don't ike him, we get it, he absolutely can be a horrible bully to people, but just say you don't know wtf you're talking about anymore as I haven't talked to him for 10+ years rather than inject your own intuitions and biases on someone who absolutely can seem and is sometimes pretty unempathetic and hard to understand.

They said "bad faith" (just lol after their characterisation), insincere of his beliefs and has no morals as well as being a 'lefty' for money, when he was kicked off of twitch (losing money) because he wasn't being 'lefty'. It's just patently a ridiculous characterisation, the one thing anyone who likes or dislikes him is the opposite of all those things.

I am almost certain Steve sent doublelift a message saying are you potentially interested in joining TL? And he somehow interpreted that as some kinda firm offer done deal when Steve just wanted to keep the option. It’s like calling the lakers ask hey do you want to trade Lebron? Knowing you would give up too much for him but hey why no have the option?

Destiny has poured tens of thousands of his own money into canvassing operations for democrats and has done a lot of great debates debunking racism, covid conspiracies, trump election fraud nonsense, etc. Even if he can be a dick sometimes, he's not the person Monte painted him as.

Doublelift is "not even close" to being near the top of the list of LCS ADC's. And yet...with a variety of random SoloQ Supports Doublelift absolutely destroyed the current TL duo of Yeon and CoreJj in something like seven straight games in SoloQ. Now SQ has little bearing whether he would perform as well in pro play, except he was clearly the best player on a bad 100T team last season including his split with a lifeless Bjergsen. And in his very first game back after a two year break, DL beat Berserker in lane, even as the rest of 100T collapsed around him. To say he's "not even close" sounds like typical Monte bitter grapes, and drooling Thooorin can simply never get enough of attacking and ridiculing DL (and Leena) now that Regi has descended to the Netherworld. His typically forced and incomprehensible analogy to Morrissey (more like 60, you ginger elf) fell as flat as usual.

@1:38:00 There is no way in hell that Riot is going to ever go to a limited champion rotation and/or refund skins. It would cause so much backlash... Monte and Thorin seem to forget that a MAJORITY of the NA player base does not even play ranked and don't give two shytes about game balance or design and just queue up to play their MF/Sona/Lux or Yasuo/Yone skins.
