Excellent review. I bought Thinpad T15p Gen 3(intel) as same as twins 7 month ago. I got the intel i7-12700H, 16gb/512gb model with IPS 100%.

I'm trying to undersatnd the difference between the t15p and the p15v and I'm not finding any. Are these actually the same but branded differently?

The P15v is aimed at pro users that need ISV-certified GPU's for their work. Aside from that, virtually the same.

I bought Thinkpad T15p Gen 3(Intel) 7 month ago. I think as same as model but gpu is different between RTX3050 and A2000. If you use about 3D Model.Just select Thinkpad P15v. My english is so bad. Thank you.

Depends on the company providing the SIM Card tray, there is a 5G already out. It's going to help people disconnect from their cable internet.

That's provided the WWAN card supports 5G. Some Thinkpads still come with 4G WWAN cards.

I need a mobile workstation. Please recommend me few models. I mainly need it for coding and running VMs, atleast 4-6. I am checking out Latitude and Thinkpads. I have also seen gaming laptops with similar configuration and cheaper than thinkpads so I am wondering why do people prefer thinkpad?

Any suggestion between Gpu. Radeon 780M Or Nvidia RTX A500 ?? Which one to pick for 3d modelling and rendering

On paper the RTX A500 will easily beat the 780M. Both are entry level GPUs. I would look at the RTX A1000 onwards for 3D Modelling/rendering work.

Technically it has USB PD on the USB-C port but it needs the extra power for the dedicated GPU and desktop level CPU inside.

That's because Lenovo have just announced the P16v, the P15v has been retired in the latest generation.

Such a shame you can't buy the AMD model without a dedicated GPU.

The AMD processor range doesnt come with integrated graphics, this is why you need a dedicated GPU.

@@aakoss The Ryzen 7 6800H does come with an integrated GPU - a Radeon 680M. Even my current laptop with a Ryzen 7 4800H has an integrated GPU.

dell precision 5570 is a much better laptop with 16:10 screen, 4K touch screen, with almost no bezels on all 4 sides, with trackpad as big as apple laptop.
