Great source of vitamin E. West Africa uses it a lot. Beautiful complexions and low wrinkles until way late in life. I had breakfast with a 112 year old woman and she had it her whole life like the dozens and dozens of generations before

Is this senator Joe Lieberman? You are sounding just like him. Palm Oil is widely used in West Africa by local farmers both from wild palm Trees and those planted by commercial farmers. And I don't hear a lot about cancer in that part of the word.

Red Palm oil is rich in tocopherols, so is anti cancer. And Palmitic acid is in mother milk, is good for you.

Thanks for a clear and simple explanation. It would help if you would say something about being sure to choose only SUSTAINABLE palm oil, in order to protect wildlife like the orangutan, forests and people.

Still- I hate the fact that many of the world's tropical forests are being razed, just to plant this monoculture because humans have been convinced by (???) that palm oil is "healthier". Will palm oil, instead of butter or other oils in your food make you live five years longer? Two years? One year? A week? Is palm oil healthier for the planet in toto?

Not true at all, zero. All commercial palm oil is of a hybrid clone but never genetically modified. They cross breed dura and pisifera to get tenera. Without human assisted cross breeding, the natural occurence of tenera is 25% probability. Tenera produces more oil than dura or pisifera.
