I wanted to check the battery temp and cell health on a 2020 Rav4 Hybrid like I use MyGreenVolt for the Chevy Volt. saw the Dr Prius app in the RAV4World forum and the guys said it worked with the gen5 Rav4. I had a VeePeak OBDcheck BLE that works on the Volt so I tried it on the Rav4; it worked! I get most of the important readings. costs around $15 for 3 vehicles. good value compared with hunting down the PIDs on TorquePro. I hope Jack tweaks it to work even better on other hybrids and the Prime.

For P0A80 code, you can check each battery voltage yourself, without buying any app. Just by an OBDII adapter (less than $20).It is a 210 Volt hybrid battery for Prius, so you have to be very careful. There are other KZfaq videos telling you how to check which cell is the issue. It saves you a ton of money.

I ran Dr. Prius life tests twice recently on a 2008 sedan. Last year, the result was just below 'GOOD.' This year, the first test was 'BAD' (as in, time for a battery overhaul). Two days later it was 'GOOD' (no need to worry). I'm enough of an engineer to conduct a simple test following simple instructions, and I can only conclude that these sorts of stress tests are wild estimates at best -- and averaging three or four tests over the course of a week may be the only way to have any sense for the actual condition of a battery.

Hi! Is there a webpage or anything where I could find the differences between the free, "basic package" and "shop special" versions? Or at least between the paid versions. Is it only the amount of cars that can be tested? Thanks

Basic package allow you to test on 3 different car, unlimited time. Shop package allow repair shop to test on unlimited number of car, unlimited time.

Not Cells, modules you meant!!! Each block has 12 cells, and each block consists of 2 modules, where each module has 6 cells. This is for the NiMH hybrid battery pack of Toyota.

Good app! Question: at what HV battery temperature (2005 Prius) battery fan should turn on? Dr Prius showed 124° (outside temperature was 56) and the fan still was off until I used app's override temperature option. My guess the app may not show exact temperature: checked this early morning, outside was 52°, battery temperature was 67°

battery fan only turn on at higher speed, this is to mask the noise from the noisy fan. 124 is too high, better override it.

I noticed that Dr Prius monitor changing battery temperature color to RED when it reaches 120°, so I set to override option to 110°, so far all works fine, of course I turn AC on and see that battery temperature starts dropping

Anyone know if this app will enable the up or down control of the windows with the key fob? Any chance of adding this useful feature for the Prius.

If it isn't already built into the door lock computer system, such as when you hold the key in lock position longer (such as with BMWs or perhaps newer Toyotas than my Gen II Prius), a signal from an App is not going to create that function.

I just replaced the battery with a refurbished one. And I did a test right away and got the same code as my old one. Did the tech replace my battery. He did it when I was not present . Or I have to reset the app?

519 stream / You have to match the new battery to the main ECU. Practically between the battery ECU and car's main ECU. It can be done with a proper scan tool. Take it to the shop that did the repair or a different hybrid car shop. They know what to do.

Works on other Toyota/Lexus hybrids. From what I heard, Fusion is a Ford, licensing the older Prius technology from Toyota, but not their whole computer interface.

Most hybrid Toyotas and Lexuses, which is pretty good for a Dr. Prius app. As other manufacturers get more stabilized in their Hybrid, Plug-in, and eCar technology instead of just licensing it from someone else for a few years as they jump into the game, more inclusive app(s) will eventually emerge.

I used in 2007 highlander hybrid, which is same as lexus 400h, I think it should work for 450h too.
