Based on my life, my experiences, my knowledge, my wisdom, my intelligence, my knowledge of the Bible, my observations, what I have seen in the life of others, this is the message that the church needs to hear. I could speak of the pain cause by other Christians who do not understand the truths in this message. I could speak of the great comfort this message has given me. I could speak of the frustration I felt in witnessing to people who would have benefited from the Gospel, but would have never happy in a church that didn't understand this message.

The preacher does a good job of pointing out some problems in the churches that people give as reasons for their sad/mad attitude toward the things of God. I love it that, once he gets to the solution, he is very heavy on Christ. But I do believe that some things he implies as true actually contribute to the problem. Most churches (most notably, the Roman church) set themselves up as mediators between men and Christ ... in order to obtain the blessings of Christ, one must go to the church. Moreover, the church is not seen as the informal spiritual assembly of God's people in Christ but is viewed as the ecclesiastical organization(s) whether they be single independent churches or denomination. Add to this is the implication, if not outright declaration, that the church is actually the men who occupy the places of authority within that structure. Such churches often present the sacraments as the means of obtaining the benefit of Christ, and thus, those given authority to administer the sacraments become, not preachers, but priests with power to give or withhold the blessing of God. Churches that are less liturgical accomplish similar things by exalting the "clergy" out of measure such that they become like prophets and none are permitted to challenge their mishandling of the Word of God. I was raised in conservative, freewill fundamentalism in the late 60s and early 70s. Every service concluded with an "invitation" in which people who wanted to be saved were told to "come forward" - and who was waiting for them? ... the visitation pastor who would pair them with a personal worker who would, in essence, begin a sales pitch and use all the psychological pressure they could muster to get them to buy their health-insurance by making a decision for Jesus. But, in all of these schemes, the sinner is pointed, not to Christ, but to ministers. And ministers ... everyone of them - will at some point prove disappointing. My years in Bible School were used of God to transform me from the Jerry Fallwell type Baptist to a sovereign grace Baptist. After Bible School, God graciously put me under the ministry of a faithful gospel preacher who was the mentor of many faithful men preaching today, and he used to say, "Preach Christ and get out of the way." In about 35 years of pastoring a church, 32 of them at one church, I have set forth Christ the best I know how and have done all I could to deflect attention away from me. I have often told them, "I have nothing for you, but I know the One who has all you need." I point people to Christ to the best of my abilities and gifts. I am by no means perfect or even close in my ministry. But, if anyone leaves the church on account of some offense created by me or some other person, they have done so in denial of what I have told them ... don't look at me, look to Christ. One cannot be scandalized by any but those in whom they trust. If your trust is in Christ alone, the conduct of His people will not scandalized you to the point of departure. So, the need (in many cases) is to alter our view of what the church is and get it out of the way of the sinner. There is one mediator between God and men but there are no mediators between Christ and man. Let us be wary of ever acting as though we are such mediatots lest our failures scandalized those who have believed our word. Also, make it clear that Christianity is defined by the Person of Christ, not by Christians.

The problem is that the title contains the word "Gospel." Nobody has any interest in the Gospel. Do a video about the rapture or tribulation or 23 minutes in hell or similar nonsense and it will get a million views.

Some awesome points about the church needing to re-focus on Christ and the Gospel. Helpful encouragement for me to learn to distinguish between law and gospel. Definitely doing some repenting of focusing on personal experience over the Gospel. That said, I believe there is an unbiblical indictment of the church to take responsibility for those who leave the church. Scripture gives a different reason for when people leave the church and I think we should give scripture’s answer rather than the response of the person who leaves the church, “They went out from us, but they were not of us; for if they had been of us, they would have continued with us. But they went out, that it might become plain that they all are not of us.” 1 John 2:9. I think he is giving men who have deceitful hearts too much credit for knowing their own hearts. They reject the church because they have rejected Christ. We can’t separate Christ from His people. I think this video rightly points out some desperately needed change in terms of bringing back the gospel in the forefront of Christianity, church and the Christian life, amen! I have been seeing that almost since I have been a believer (11 years). But I take issue with blaming the church for those who choose to leave Christ. I think it’s wrong to say someone can hate the church (the people of God) and still love Christ. I say this because the Bible says it “Whoever loves his brother abides in the light, and in him there is no cause for stumbling. But whoever hates his brother is in the darkness and walks in the darkness, and does not know where he is going, because the darkness has blinded his eyes.” ‭‭1 John‬ ‭2:10-11‬ ESV.

I agree with your point, but I do not believe that that is the point John is making in his letter. The men who "went out from [them]," proving they "were not of [them]" were not those who simply left the church, going into irreligion. Rather, they were those who left the church as set up and informed by the apostles, leaving those churches to start other churches with antichristian doctrine. They were the antichrists he spoke of. The specific form of heresy these "leavers" promoted seems to be the libertine form of gnosticism. Maybe I am straining at gnats here, but i do believe that it is always helpful to first see the Scriptures according to the context in which it was first written. After that, we may judiciously apply it to other circumstances. When we see that John was not talking about those who simply left off assembling, but those who left the church in order to form a different kind of church, we are free to explore other reasons why people may leave a particular church or even become weary of churches altogether. I believe that, in most cases, those who leave off the corporate worship of God through Christ do so because there was never any real interest in Christ in their hearts. But, I also know that many churches have left off preaching Christ and have taken up the more popular version of American Christianity which centers the the "christian" way of successful living - churches who, in all reality, have set their ministerial affections on the things which are seen rather than the things which are not seen. If I were in such a church, you can be certain I would leave it. And if there were no Christ-centered churches in my area, I would stay home before I would weary my soul with such churches.

I was severely abused as a child in every way imaginable. Not only was I physically and sexually abused I was taught by angry pentecostals that God was angry. I had an aunt that made me terrified of God. I got saved at 21 and she kept hammering into me that I had to be good I had to be perfect. I had to work for my salvation. I just wanted to be loved..I have never been loved in my life. I couldn't do it anymore. I was being wrecked by the law and God knows I wanted to be good. I backslid. I so desperately want to be forgiven. I want to be forgiven. Please pray for me. Please!

Paul wrote that what the law says it says to those who are under the law. There are only two conditions under which a person can be - under law or under grace. And one cannot be under both. Consequently, the law has nothing to say to the believer for he is under grace and not under law. And it is this very condition that renders sin from having any rightful authority (dominion) over him. But, whenever we speak to men (saved or unsaved), putting them under law, sin will revive and they will die. For the believer, this death will be a fiction, for law-preaching will condemn him in his conscience even though it can never condemn him in the court of heaven. Law preaching gives a voice to the accuser of the brethren and makes them feel like slaves rather than sons. The law is good if one uses it lawfully. But it is being used unlawfully if it is being used to rule the people of God by guilt.

One of the most important videos on KZfaq. I might add that what Dr. Rosenbladt says about wretched Marxist professors might also apply to "religious," "conservative" authoritarians who have sold out the Constitution and the Fifth Commandment both, and think that it's OK to spread a deadly virus to our neighbor as long as they do it in church, or maybe that the lives of their elderly or sick neighbors are somehow less sacred than those of the unborn.
