My best friend had two Charizards, but he never gave me one. He traded it for the promotional first movie mew. Also, all my cards mysteriously disappeared during a move. (Every time I moved, about 50% of my childhood memories disappeared. I've moved three times.) I had a lot, too! I used to go to blockbuster every week and spend my allowance on a pack of card there. I did that for a while, until I discovered video games and even a little while after, but just less frequently. It was only around when the gba came out that I stopped buying them. I also mailed some (including a gengar) to a pokemon magazine because they made an article about deck building and I thought they would build a deck for me. They never returned the cards.
