Sushi rice also is sugared rice. If you’ve ever made sushi rice you know that a tablespoon of white caster sugar is part of the recipe. This probably helps to explain how popular sushi has become as a fast food. I love sushi rice, although having also recently discovered Korean seaweed snacks I think it’s also the seaweed that has me queuing up for some sushi from time to time. Dr Fung is brilliant, I’ve been ADFing for 6 + months and I’m now happily within a ‘normal’ weight range after probably being pre diabetic.

Nahhhhhh it's healthy. Anything eating with limit and moderation. Educate yourself and you won't have to fear of everything

I feel the issue of high carbohydrate diets are most dangerous when combined with high fats and vice versa. This results in a highly palatable food or drink that is calorie dense and stimulates an unnatural hedonic response and a state of high blood sugar, inflammation and other concerning effects

Fat is not the problem , no fat is a problem! I learned that the hard way and glad I finally understood why. I am so much better putting fat & red meat in my diet.

Doesn’t fat slow insulin spike when taken with carbs? How is fat (good fats) a problem?

@@nikitagoswami213 it depends. Some research shows fat slows GI response if it is in a wholefood form I.e. nuts/olives. But the best way is to add fibre or resistant starch and protein. The issue with highly refined carbs and refined oils combined is the state of mitochondrial dysfunction, inflammation and reducing hunger/fullness signals

my strategy: intermittent fasting from 18 to 10, then only lean meat and vegetables till 16. 2 hours between 16 and 18 i eat whatever i want.

@@freebeat-nocopyrightsounds8167 he's seriously wrong. One of Dr Fung video stated that intermittent fasting cannot be combined with eating whatever you want . It makes no sense that you try fasting for health benefits and eating whatever you want. Cannot believe a lot people think that way and at the end they crash and give up because they get no results. The formula of health is fasting, daily exercise and eat right, eat healthy not whatever.
