Soooooo good! I was blown away with this song while driving cross-country recently, and WOW, I was blown away, literally! its clear that Gus g had a very strong influence on the first albums of dream evil. his playing is very melodic but not generic he has his own style and for me Gus g is unique he is one of the best out there.

In this song Snowy Shaw is the drummer. He also play in other bands like King Diamond, Therion, Dimmu Borgir, Sabaton(for some tours), Notre Dame and more.. He can play on guitar to and have kick ass vocals. Snowy show his vocal power in Therion-Kali Yuga 3, Snowy Shaw-Krampus and many other songs

Do some Therion too, its one of my top 3 favorite bands ever and for some reason rarely they get a reaction from any channel. For a great song with Snowy Shaw on vocals check "The Wand of Abaris".

This song is the perfect intro into finding your channel. I had to see the reaction because when I first heard this song... I felt invincible! It did not go well, I am not certain but if there is invincibility it is temporary. It is extremely temporary. And I got to hear the whole song again where as most reaction channels just clip the reaction. Very educated dialect. "A crate of awesome." That is going in the Christmas card.

Ah good, old Dream Evil. Got to love the Hammerfall-esque school / era of power metal. Tons of great memories of their old albums and seeing them out on tour well over a decade ago. Fun bunch of guys who always managed to give a great show while at the same time not taking themselves too serious. Was rather cool to see them get back into the studio last year and drop another entertaining album after something like 3-4 years of virtual silence. The Book of Heavy Metal continues to get quite a lot of love around this side of northern Europe, I've heard it used as a crowd warmer at smaller, metal festivals all over the place for years and years. It just works for a lot of varied metalheads. Tons of other, great songs in their backlog, stuff like Break the Chains, Chasing the Dragon and particularly The Chosen Ones are well worth checking out as well. Given you guys enjoyed this one I can definitely suggest giving the band Primal Fear a go as well. Similar epic power metal vibe with quite an amazing, Halford-esque vocal performance by Ralf Scheepers (who once upon a time sang with Gamma Ray): kzfaq.info/get/bejne/g7KCna2CqNenlaM.html

The guitarist Gus G played with Ozzy a few years back. Even tours with him. He also has the band Firewind which is also a power metal band. Both bands are a favorite of mine. Awesome that you guys take a young and old school look at these songs.

I agree with the first words spoken. Music is indeed a personal and what mood you re in. Even I am not a fan of such music this song is sometimes a delight to play it really loud. Aspecially with the drumming (backing vocals) of Snowy Shaw in this song. Have a splendid evening/ weekend guys and waiting patiently for my request/ suggestion

This was a funny discovery. I had previously heard only one Dream Evil song, Heavy Metal Jesus (the name should say it all) which was similarly epic and tongue in cheek. I guess I gotta pick up more from them now xD

This is the only album that i have listened from them. I'm glad that you listened exactly to this great song. I love this song. I have so many suggestion... It is hard to not write a list! I will begin with these 2. Both have a video and are very fast. Japanese power metal: Galneryus - Angel of salvation Folk/death metal: Crimson Shadows - Lost in a dark forest You should let us know if you want suggestions of slower songs.

I think Snowy Shaw has played drums for everyone. He has played with King Diamond/Merciful Fate, Sabaton, Momento Mori, Therion just to name a few.

I think they must listen and react to Brothers of Metal. A swedish viking/power metal band from the same small as Sabaton comes from. Brothers of Metal have done only one album so far, but its self produced with extremely high qualty. Check their title track Prophecy of Ragnarök and you will understand what I mean. 👍.

Yeah, their first album had less weird structure to the songs. The first three songs in a row (Heart of Storm, Sworn in the Metal Wind and World Through My Fateless Eyes) are worth the price of the whole album alone.

We have a 2nd channel that we use to upload test videos. If they get blocked we know before we spend the time recording it. It is not 100% but it is 95% accurate since the day we test and the day we upload the label can change the restrictions and what wasn’t restricted before is now. We won’t go to Kamelot. It is 19+ so my son can’t go and we have been going too many shows the wife is getting mad, so skipping this one.

I've never understood people who just paste the same song requests on every video and act entitled about it. Glad you took a minute to call them out on that. Fortunately, I don't see quite as much of it on this channel as some other reaction channels. Anyways, I thought this song was really cool. The vocal melodies went well with the chugging riffs.

Dream Evil is a really good band. Dragonslayer is probably their best album but the Book of Heavy Metal is good too. Speaking of good power metal, you guys should definitely check out Hammerfall, one of the original top notch power metal bands and a major influence on a lot of Swedish power metal bands.

Checked this out due to my enjoyment of 'Dio'.. am sure you already know he had an album 'Dream Evil' so was not sure if this band had any connection to or were influenced by Dio. Sounds like the singer may have been a fan of Dio at some point tho his vocals are definitely power metal and not doom metal.. with a touch of Dio's style in the lower range.. tho it may just be coincidence hehe. It is a good song, but i had the feeling of listening to a medley. It seems like they copy pasted some part of "Come The spring" and "Highest star"... but i guess new listener won't have this problem and will enjoy it.

I absolutely love this song, as well as, their song "The Chosen Ones". They're kind of silly and over the top, but most power metal bands are lol. They were supposed to be at ProgPower USA a few years back but had to drop out for some reason, so I didn't get the chance to see them, sadly. Great reaction, though. I think I had the same reaction when I first heard the song, haha. Do yourselves a favor, though, and listen to the album version. The music video is kind of chopped up. And, the obligatory recommendation, Grave Digger - Twilight of the Gods.
