Hey Preston, Mike Portnoy, the drummer of Dream Theater, created another band called Liquid Tension Experiment that released two studio albums. Since you enjoy instrumentals, a particular favorite song is 'When the Water Breaks' (which is a long track). Take a listen to that them at some point, I think you'll enjoy.

Preston I had the extreme privilege to see Dream Theater live in a club setting when they were on tour in support of this album back in the 90s. It was at the legendary Hammerjacks nightclub here in Baltimore Maryland..... I was within Arm's Reach of the stage and watching these guys perform live up-close-and-personal was an awesome experience! This is Dream Theater. This album is close to perfection. Kevin Moore, the keyboardist, heavily influenced the spiritual aspect of the lyrics on the songs. The album is so diversified. Labrie's voice, Petrucci's notework, Portnoy's drumming.......utter enjoyment.
