Hey Jesse, Electric leaf man on KZfaq actually made a video recently about being able to sleep in his Nissan leaf. Although the model s is way more spacious, it still can be done in a leaf.

This looks awesome. I can imagine this would be great for spending a night close to the beach under the stars.

Once Tesla updates the software to make the car fully automated in future, you can literally sleep through the longer sections while your car takes you to your destination. No pit stop, no motels required...How many more industries are you gonna disrupt Elon??

Thanks for this review. Does the mattress truly lie flat? Based on the footage and other photos online, it appears that the case doesn’t completely eliminate the step off. Also, do you think this mattress would be comfortable on a floor for overnight guests in my home?

I cut an Ikea mattress which I like to perfectly fit into our Model X. It does take up more space, but I prefer it to a hotel bed ;)

Note* 2021 Model S Plaid has a complete Flat/flush floor with rear seats folded. There is No bump or lip. It can Not use the Dreamcase hard shell, other than just the bed. The hard shell thus is only a carry case and is not used for the bed.

Love the idea, but $830 is more than I spent on my bed at home. Going to stick with the DIY route.

Just had a thought to share with you Zack an Jesse. If every home had a Tesla powerwall and solar roof and a wind turbine I don't see a need for powerlines to exist that can start these huge wildfires when wind blows branches across the lines. Or he could just partner with town tha have a high fire risk and build local solar and battery power plants and run the power lines locally instead of intercity and that could also reduce fire potential as well as be the first steps in a properly distributed power system. Just sayin. Love the show, keep it up fellas! I watch every episode!

I went to the Dreamcase website and the price is oddly listed as $340,00 Does the comma signify a decimal? Is this in U.S. currency or what? Also, how do I find out if Dreamcases makes mattresses for other car models like my Honda Element?

It needs a bugscreen so you can have a door/window open or you will die of heat and or lack of oxygen.

They were much better designs than this. The shorter Peugeot 504 offered a completely flat double bed on the front and back seats. No space left between front and back seats and in the case of an emergency, the driver could immediately start the car and drive away. And of course, any taller combi car, like the Volvos, Mercedes, VW Santana etc. offers far more room than a Tesla. The aerodynamic shape of the Tesla wastes a lot of space..They were better cars, look f.ex. at a Citroen CX Break!

I'm disappointed that My honda fit can have a flat surface when the seats are down, but Tesla can't. It makes a huge difference just packing the car and makes this type of aftermarket kit unnecessary.
