Dremel DIY Repair - Shaft NOT Spinning 100% Fix !!!

This DIY will cover the replacement of the motor coupling which causes the shaft to spin.
Symptoms of a bad coupling:
- Motor turns but shaft does not
- Buzzing sound but no shaft movement

Tools Needed:
1. #2 Hex Key (L Wrench)
2. #2.5 Hex Key (L Wrench)
3. Safety Glasses (optional)
4. Gloves (optional)
*** Please follow all safety protocols before attempting this repair and ALWAYS disconnect any electricity to the tool before commencing repair.

Great! the flex I ordered coupling fits the Dremel 395 and the sears model I have (572 I believe)

Thanks for the video. Its like a shear pin . Thought this tool was quality. Weak link and pain in the ass downtime, makes you afraid to use it.

Why doesn't Dremel make this part of metal? Is this like a transmission "fuse" for a Dremel drill?

I can only assume it's due to cost reductions for Dremel.

I believe it may be due to the heat it can produce and as the other poster said, cost reductions. All it is is a rubber like coupler that joins both ends together.

My Dremels don't have this coupler.

Do you mean it's missing? Or is it different? As mentioned, this is for the model on the video. I'm not sure if other models of Drexel will use different mechanisms. Another poster said it was most likely the same part for the 575 as model as well.

@@justdiyit9683 No, I have a 300 & a 4000, and in both cases the motor shaft is connected directly to the chuck.
