Did you know you can burn fat while you sleep? Find out how in this video.
0:00 Introduction: 7 ways to burn more fat while sleeping
1:00 Dietary changes to improve sleep
3:45 Sleep aids
5:58 The most important tip to burn fat while you sleep
In this video, I’m going to give you 7 tips to help you increase fat-burning while you sleep. Poor sleep stops fat-burning, so it’s important to make sure you’re getting good sleep.
Check out these tips to boost fat loss while you sleep.
7. Only eat when you’re hungry. Let your appetite dictate your fasting pattern.
6. Reduce extra fat in your diet. This forces your body to burn your body fat for fuel.
5. Ensure your carb intake is not too high. Focus on eating meat and vegetables. If you have a thyroid issue, try adding berries to your diet. If you’re dealing with gut inflammation, try the carnivore diet.
4. Focus on good sleep hygiene. Invest in a good mattress, make sure the room is not too hot, and turn off lights.
3. Natural sleep aids can help improve your sleep and increase fat-burning. Try drinking apple cider vinegar throughout the day to help regulate your blood sugar and help you sleep. Collagen helps with sleep because it contains glycine. Niacinamide, vitamin D, and sea salt are also important for good sleep.
2. Do a full-body workout that gets you tired and also makes you sweat. Intense exercise activates growth hormone which helps you burn fat, even while you’re resting.
1. Go to bed between 9:00 and 9:30 p.m. and sleep for 9 hours. Getting plenty of sleep is crucial for fat loss.

i think Dr Berg said in another video: fat burning and muscle regeneration and basically ANYTHING good (renewal) happening with our body happens ONLY when we sleep. So if u dont sleep, you will not only look older and weaker muscles and bones, but you will also never lose fat.

It might be worth mentioning to salad eaters that there are concerns about a lot of salad dressings. Some people love salads because they are vehicles for sweet and tasty dressings. (often based on seed oils.)

Recently flipped the switch and turning my life upside down. Stopped smoking April 1st last year, went on keto after years of overeating carbs & sugars… I am going to bed around 9:30-10pm and I am sleeping 7-9 hours every night, first time since my early 20s. The difference in my energy levels and the overall feeling is a day and night. Sometimes questioning if this is the same body I’m in.

I’d previously lost 12 kilos with the low carb diet and fasting and remained stagnant. Then i stopped eating late, cut off late snacking, eliminating alcohol and caffeine after 4pm. I usually go to sleep a bit after midnight, and wake up about 7 or 7:30, usually waking up once during the sleep for the bathroom, but on the advice of this Dr. Berg video, I turned in about 9:45. Yes, I woke up, and used the time to listen to a guided prayer KZfaq I like (found a nice 1 hour one), and then slept to 7:30. Now, this was the first time I did this, and I do not know yet if it will aid in weight loss, but considering HOW GREAT I FEEL, I'm going to try to stick to this, regardless. My head feels clearer than ever. I'll try another one of the 7 recommendations today.

Man i have to say sleep is crazy important, i had a messed up nose, and would wake up every 30-45 minutes to grab a drink of water because my throat was dry from constantly breathing through my mouth, brain fog, constant fatigue even after 10 hours of sleep a day, memory issues. it was awful! Got nose surgery to fix it and even though it won't be fully healed for another 6-8 months, i have more energy even though i only sleep 7-8 hours now and wake up before my alarm, instead of 10-12. My memory has improved and i have less brain fog. If you can't breathe through your nose definitely go get that fixed, it is way more important than you think! I waited 15 years before getting it done, if i could go back in time i would take a loan and get it done immediately..

I understand the 9-hour sleep time. But, I do NOT understand the "go early". I have never slept early in my life, and I don't feel well. Plus, I could NEVER wake up at 6:30AM (9:0PM + hours = 6:30 AM ). My body works better from 12AM to 9AM. THe rest are all amazing tips to burn fat. I have followed Dr. Eric for a good while and he has amazing tips. Go ahead and watch more of his videos. There are tons of great videos with awesome info.

Your body repairs itself the most between 10pm-2am but only while your are in a deep sleep, if awake during those hours you miss out. It’s well documented, google it

From the end of Aug to the other day I have dropped my A1c from 9.7 to 6.5. still doing keto and intermittent fasting and working on sleep... Weight loss is 234 to 184 today... My goal? To never take insulin or meds for diabetes ever again. Haven't had insulin since Sept 29, 2023. Thanks Dr Berg!!!

A spiritually healthy person would thrive on 3-6 hours sleep. But most of us aren't. Yet read about the great mystics and esotericists - they all were so aligned with truth and Source that they could relax way beyond the average human, hence no need to sleep and repair much. I recommend to research the topic. Fascinating. Some of them were only sleeping 2-3 hours a night for decades, yet worked from dawn to dusk.

Yes I agree with you. There certainly needs to be more research on it.

Interesting! I can't sleep 9hrs. I used to be able to when I was living a stressful life. I'd be lucky to get 6hrs now! I do follow a spiritual path so it may be the reason. 🙏

We all know this "research" is being funded by corporations who would benefit by humans eating not only MORE food... but more bad foods.

Only reason why I turn right while sleeping is because my left nose gets blocked during night most of the time, and by turning the head to right it helps decongest the left nose.

I do a lot of these things. Calcium, zinc, niacin, cranberries, electrolytes and trace minerals have been a game changer for my chronic insomnia. I also take a little bit of kefir before bed, avoid blue light at night and get up on time to view the sunrise most days. One thing I do NOT do is take apple cider vinegar. Not sure why, but even a small amount of acetic acid makes me metabolically acidic, which triggers insomnia. Can't count how many sleepless nights it took to figure that out.

Taking magnesium has made a HUGE difference in my battle with insomnia! I used to hate sleep because there is so much I wanna do still, but my mindset about it is changing and I start appreciating the times when I can sleep in by going to bed early enough to wake up the next morning well rested. I never want to go back again to the time how I felt without enough sleep for months, you're basically just functioning out of cortisol and adrenaline, ugh. And I believe, it also does something where this stage is making you addicted to not sleeping enough. And its a vicious circle. Sometimes, there are also psychological reasons behind it, especially if you're having trouble going to bed on time between a free day and a work day and just pushing sleep back and back, and then you're doing this the whole week until the next free days. I think, its a sign for you to start looking for another job, or to deal with your negative feelings about your job and transform them into positive ones, if possible.
