Three years after changing to Dr. Gundry's diet, my arthritis is almost gone, including neuropathy, I lost over 60 pounds without exercise (still need to lose some, but I love coconut milk ice cream). I had CV19 and recovered after 48 hours of high temperature. I don't think I would have recovered as quickly had I not changed my diet. I KNOW my immune system is working, as my symptoms of auto immune disease disappear. When I cheat with sugar, the symptoms come back quickly. I love Dr. Gundry. You are an angel from heaven... in my life, anyway. Virtual hugs to you all day everyday. - 68 yrs young on no meds

After 14 years of HELL ON EARTH, I read Dr. Neal Barnard's book "Foods That Fight Pain", and within 24 hours I was completely PAIN FREE. I highly recommend this book to everyone - especially those suffering from RA, Fibromyalgia, etc. So if you did Dr. Fuhrman's program, the same would happen too.

I really wanted to see you guys duke it out over peppers and lectins. I follow both of your advice and you clash there. Thanks, by the way. I put both of you in charge of my feast and Dr. Jason Fung in charge of my fast a year ago. Down 75 pounds (220 to 145), put my diabetes in remission after a decade, off all drugs save baby aspirin, Magnesium, fish oil and a multivitamin. My A1C fell from 9 to 5.2 while on drugs (Metformin and Januvia). It’s projected at 4.9 now off everything. I’m hoping to push it just a little lower and keep it there.

Just thrilled that you got dr. Fuhrman on! He changed the way I look at food. He respects the viewer and provides detailed information and trusts that an informed patient will do the right thing. This is the most responsible and respectful approach a doctor and a teacher can pursue- to give the audience the benefit of their intelligence. Thank you!

I’ve been following Dr. Furman for the last 10 years. And I love Dr. Gundry’s points as well. Where I get stuck is this olive oil debate. My entire family comes from southern Italy and most lived well into their mid 90s. However, they have achieved this mostly through abstinence! They were too poor to use olive oil as liberally as Dr. Gundry suggested. But they did eat olives! So that’s what I do, including removing the skins of veggies and their seeds! Thank you gentlemen both for your wisdom and ability to share your knowledge clearly! But I would have loved to have seen the two of you debate this olive oil dilemma!

Put these two and Shawn Baker and Paul Saladino all in the proverbial ring for 2 hours straight. Saladino addressed TONS of the long-term studies, including the famous SDA one (which is dubious at best since SDAs don't consume alcohol, and yet there's an alcohol group...). Heck, give these two a handicap and bring in Rhonda Patrick too, three hours with a break in the middle.

the keto diet worked for a while as a diabetic 2, my blood sugars went down a lot, but then to much protien intake, had the worse joint pains ever. I stopped eating meat during the week except when have special outings, and mainly eat just fish on weekends like Dr Gundry does... Lots of vegies, raw also, with mushrooms and brussel sprouts or cabbage.. I got a pressure cooker to cook my raw beans after soaking them for 24 hours, drain the water every 4 hours, and make my chilli beans and live on that every lunch time meal and for dinner have a lighter meal like Joel fuhrman recomended....the intermittent fasting is good a few times a week, but when I fasted 5 days, my sugar level returned totally to normal, but as soon as ate a big normal meal, which I should of had a small meal first, I went into shock and suffered heart pulpatiions, cold fevers and severe head swings almost collasped. I'm not interested in fasting like that again not work for me and I hardly lost weight anyway....Dr gundry and joe fuhrman I believe is the closest to the truth relating a healthy diet and a longer lifespan...Darryl Kirk perth western australia....

Very nice interview. Colorful organic veggies are loaded with healthy nutrients, and I'm particularly grateful for their cancer-fighting abilities. I'm almost 68 and had a positive ColoGuard test after a recent scary GI bleed. Family members have had at least 7 types of cancer, and I'm choosing diet instead of chemo, radiation, & surgery. "Your food is your medicine, and your medicine is your food." I'm not sure how far that will get me, but I'm giving it a try with a nutritarian diet and added pasture-fed meats, free range eggs, goat cheese, and coconut oil.

Many, many people are being healed by Carnivore diet. I think that genetics and blood type have more to do with what is the right fit for individuals. I love Dr. Gundry and I have read all his books, but I am moving toward carnivore diet .for a few weeks (4 to 6 weeks) to see I can be healed. Dr. Ken Berry on KZfaq has a whole series on Carnivore diet.

On March I was put on government quarantine with a co-worker after some passengers was found positive from Sydney flight. On day 5 my co-worker was hospitalized with symptoms & positive result. I’ve spent solid days with her in the confined environment plus few days Sydney trip, but I’m negative. I’d absolutely agree that diet plays major roles in keeping our immune system. Because she didn’t cook & eat whole foods nor supplements; only rely on instant & many junk foods unfortunately.

I first heard Dr. Fuhrman on PBS several years ago, and am very grateful for his wisdom. Four months ago, when I was stuck at home, I discovered Dr. Gundry through my public library's audio books. WOW! I started trying to make the conversion in my life style and food choices then, though it's challenging because I live with two overweight adults who are not interested. Nevertheless, thanks to Dr. Gundry, I quickly lost 20 pounds, and the arthritis in my hands only flares up when I cheat. Although my outdoor/indoor allergies symptoms are noticeably better, I still have some problems. What foods, supplements and herbs do you recommend for people who want allergy relief?

Sincerest Thanks Dr. Gundry for all You have done, are doind, will do!!!!!!! 54 y/o male....... Was chronically unwell with many extra pounds of belly fat. Started off with what is considered a more Yogic diet. Basically foods that Sadhguru recommended. Pounds flew off, vitality returnad, a calm centeredness enveloped my being. You see I was always hyper. Everyone especially individuals older and wiser than myself would say. Marc your brilliant,,,,,,, however you need to slow down or else your going to burn out. I wasn't able to understand the sage advice being given. Hyper thinking and hyper activity was rapidly killing me and more importantly destroying all sensitivity with regards to all other life on this planet. Never realized it was 99% diet causing all the turmoil within this system UNTIL NOW! Watching your podcasts on KZfaq. Incorporating your approach to diet with Yogic foods. Reducing lectins thru pressure cooking and drinking olive oil only to list a couple of your recommendations. Like I mentioned before. Vitality has returned with all the sensitivity and no hyperactivity. Calm centeredness....... Can actually meditate now! All the extra psychological, spiritual, emotional, and physical weight is now gone. Finally comfortable in this skin!!!!!!! One again my deepest Thanks.

Doc, amazing infos. Unfortunately or fortunately, we all have different levels of education, common sense, logic, reasoning , etc, but it all goes to the basic level of financial or food availability of the human population at given time that can limit healthy choices, ie, ( elimination of lectins) . Still, i deeply believe if intermittent fasting of minimum 16/8 ratio (or calories restrictions applied daily), if resistance training daily is applied of 60 minutes ( 10 min in the morning, 15 at noon, etc, no gym required, sun exposure of minimum 30 minutes a day, , positive thinking( yoga, meditation, deep REM sleep, massage, cold/ hot showers or only cold😉💪💦),, life can be beautiful . Just saying Keep up great work. All the best. Dr. Goran Poleksic,DDS

I have been integrating Dr. Gundry’s protocol into my diet over the last year. I’ve also been using supplements of his starting with Total Restore. It’s important to go into the program with a stick to it mentality I found. It gets better as the gut heals but can take a while to feel the difference- once you have experienced the lack of cravings this diet brings on, the regularity etc., it motivates you to want to keep up with it. Going to bed hungry doesn’t really happen once you have been on the diet for a while with Total Restore - this was my experience after a few weeks. I have lost weight and have an A1c that is 10 points lower, and I don’t like sugar or bread much anymore. This was an interesting chat with two amazing people! Thank you 🙏

Im only 5 mins in and i can already tell this is going to be good. I kept trying to tell people to get into their micro nutrition and strengthen stomach acid for proper absorption of minerals from their food. I see usually tho that the only people who are listening are other health enthusiasts and not the everyday person. Its a shame, but this is how nature will weed out the weak. Those who lack to prepare and self educate whether you're a professional or not will not make it in this health shift and how the body is treated.

Questions : A) Why when I eat only Grapes for about 2 weeks were cured some problems that I had? Some of my friends also cured very serious diseases. B) I am gymnast. When I was in my University I did a research study: for about 3 days, 7 athletes ate only fruit every 3 hours. The results: 1) Resting heart rate 10 less. 2) Better neuromuscular fitting (better rhythms, repetitions, nervous response of the muscles, the brain communicated much faster and better rhythm.) 3) Higher resistance to lactic acid. What does this mean; All athletes endured the lactic acid longer, so they repeated the test several times. 4) More strength in strength test. 5) Final conclusion: All athletes had a 20-30% improvement in our performance ..... Why; I'm not a doctor, but I remember reading in Physiology : 1) Raising the Vitamin C you rice up your strength about 10% 2) eating only vegetables or fruits makes your blood more alkaline, carrying more Oxygen and Carbon Dioxide and more Lactic Acid.

Mr. Fuhrman said alot of good things I think .. Overall, he said to NOT go overboard on any type of food eating ... But to go lower CARBS and not too much meat and do not cut out either food group totally ... I'm OK with his words ... -- Mr. Fuhrman did not mention mTOR but he did say to lay off the meats to some degree to promote a longer life... Heard the same thing from many out here but the mTOR pathway, being kicked into gear by over eating and ESP proteins, spurring cell growth that might be too much over the long haul.

What about Phyto-toxins and or Anti neutrients v Phyto-nutrients? How do we debunk natures tricks? Mushrooms are a good example, nightshades another. Thanks for the very useful info.

Are dried mushrooms as effective as fresh? Its hard to find a large variety of fresh mushrooms but so many mushrooms are available in the dry form.

What to do (eat) when someone has salicylate intolerance (and histamine intolerance)????????
@JonathanOvnat
@JonathanOvnat 3 жыл бұрын
Use elimination diets to figure what specific foods you're intolerant to. And don't eat those.. If you have a chronic condition, you may want to find the foods that cause you no problems and eat just these for a while. It's not easy to figure out what foods are bad for you, but keep in mind that plants make toxins to defend. Seeds are extra defensive. Good source animal food and organs are extremely rich in nutrition and have no defensive toxins. Greens may cause you problems but on the long term they are maybe essential. If you ever want, hit me up and I can help further and share good sources of information.. peace

I heard so many nuggets of wisdom from Dr. Fuhrman but one thing I personally don't agree is to eat as less salt as possible. wither he is wrong or I misinterpreted what he said ( read the book SALT fix by Dr. Jamesdinic ). It is the lack of salt which makes our kidney reuse the pre-pee to extract more salt and nutrients isn't it, that means high-quality salt is important to maintain the water content in the body.

You are correct, I think Dr. Furman may mean that we are over salted from the processed foods.

Dr. Joel Fuhrman in this presentation/interview is too rapid fire and is not talking to the average joe to understand. He's way too hyper and off base with outdated info. I've been keto and 18-6 IF for over 2-years w/great results. My diabetes is in full remission w/A1c's lowered from 9.5 to 5.3 over the first year. My numbers are excellent including lipids. My VA doc's are more than impressed and thank me for the insights/knowledge I am providing them. Thanks for your candor & sarcasm Dr G!

These meat clinical trials, do they separate sausages, normal us (corn fed) beef, us chicken dipped in chlorine vs grass fed organic pastured beef, organic pastured chicken etc? Same thing when you compare farmed salmon to wild salmon, not much in common

Vegan/Vegetarian since 1983. BS in Nutrition/Dietetics +RD. Avoided Sugar like the plague, not too much Fruit (gut reacts horrifically). Down to 1MaD for the past 2 years. Still have Large gut (IBS-C) issues but not as bad prior with a 2MaD observance for most of my life. 160lbs in H/S 180lbs in University. 200lbs by late 40’s Still 200lbs in my 60’s. Technically obese. I’ve considered epigenetic expression as a causal factor beyond lifestyle choices. I think eating multiple times a day is a fraud, much like the societal zeitgeistal push to obsessively having sex (or the need for meds for the same) all the time or even ss mundane & extravagant as the “Once-a-Month-Club”. This entyre world is a fraud.

I have a bit of an issue with "reverse type 2 diabetes". That would seem to imply that I could then eat a potato or an ear of corn without my blood sugar going way up. After several months of avoiding carbs, my blood sugar is around 100 no longer injecting insulin and no longer taking metformin. I have also lost 50lbs and my kidney function is much improved. I don't believe I can eat a potato without having a bad result. I used to LOVE mashed potatoes and English peas. I suspect the best you can do is keep the diabetes under control with a healthy diet. I think I will be diabetic the remainder of my life. I do thank you for the warnings about Lectins. I hope to not have a leaky gut eventually.

Dr Gundy, Dr. Fuhrman and you have different views on some stuff obviously, like the no oil part😶😶😶. I stocked up on olive oil, now I'm confused 😂🤣😂. So much of contradictory information I don't know what to do 🥴. Dr. Gundy, I'm watching your videos because I want to help my mother. She has a Type 2 Diabetes, Hashimoto, some Allergies, Eczema, problems with her Feet and of course Stomach. She has been on medication for years and her stomach has gotten even worse. An iridologist, she visited a few years ago, has told her that she has a stomach of a 75 year old...she was 50 at the time. Now things are even worse, she can't eat almost anything and lost over 20 kilograms as a result (the only positive in the equation). What are some advices for people with extremely sensitive stomachs? Thank you🙌🏻

I still have to go along with what physicists say when they write we are eternal, holographic, electromagnetic, multidimensional energy and light beings. So I prefer to think of myself as eternal energy and light images in the process of constant creation. Each time a quark bursts forth spinning at the speed of light as 3 points of light forming protons and neutrons, I see this as constant creation in the form of fractals. This constantly being created as perfect is where my joy comes from. I know that energy does not age because it is constantly bursting forth new at the speed of light. This constant newness is why we are able to change and heal ourselves. There is so much doctors don't know because they are taught allopathy, which is what Rockefeller started as a part of his greediness campaign. Rockefeller was also a part of starting the 1913 federal reserve cartel built specifically to take as much money as possible from the people. Rockefeller was also a nazi which he used to be a part of I.G.Farben, the chemical maker that became Monsanto which is now Bayer. These have a major part in creating GMOs that are actually insecticides. That being said, I learned reiki in my 20s which is an openness so wide that I was able to heal myself within seconds just by saying I was perfect already. It is a huge shame that this world has been taught germs and viruses and disease and death, when these don't exist. This is a perfect existence where germs, viruses, disease are not created. We create these ourselves with our own thought images. When we hate ourselves on a constant basis, this becomes the vibrations called disease, which are really short circuits within our holographic electrical bodies. Many foods are short circuits, like sugar.
