I think it was Infinity war or maybe Endgame when I really noticed a dip in CGI/Green screen (whichever it is) they were supposed to be on alien planets etc and it literally just looked like they were stood in a movie studio with a little green screen just behind them. Also I noticed that characters that were all supposed to be together in a group looked like they were in completely different locations to the person they were supposed to be stood right next to. It was as if they filmed the actors at different times and poorly spliced them all together to make it look like they were interacting with one another

You still like the f&f movies. I stopped watching after 7. It was getting a little crazy with 5 and 6. But 7 is when it started really going from kind of real to we are literally copying Marvel. We are a comic book franchise now. Driving a car through two buildings. Going against a world-class mercenary who is beaten in a fight by tough street racer. A secret government agency whose leader is named I kid you not "Mr. Nobody"? Who is trying to get a device that can locate anyone easily in the world? Even though 1. We never see this device again. 2. They need it to find Shaw. Even though Shaw literally goes wherever Dom goes. 3. Shaw even runs away on foot literally seconds before the agency shows up, and they still can't get him. Don't get me started on how the Rock was about to take out a drone with an ambulance
@Wolfman7870

Hollywood is trying to psy op us so hard with Brie Larson by shoving her into stuff we like. KZfaq, Fast and Furious. I'm surprised she wasn't running a hotel in the last John Wick movies. It's like how they centered the one Triple AAA avengers game we got around Kamala Khan and now they want to make her the first MCU X- man. It's like how many things do you plan to ruin to force these sh*tty characters on us.

Brie Larson is a big advocate of wokeness and inclusivity for inclusivity's sake. So I find it hilarious that a commitment to wokeness and inclusivity by Disney has caused her to be demoted in her own sequel. In Disney's attempt to be more "inclusive", they had to relegate Brie Larson's Captain Marvel from the lead in her own film to a mere costar. This is a lesson for all of you SJW white upper middle class suburbanite women. Be careful what you advocate for. Your effort to virtue signal, on behalf of what you consider to be marginalized groups, just may signal your own demise.

Brie is a strange enigma because: - She is very pretty (at least to me) - Short Term 12 and Room prove she is a great actor - 21 Jump Street proves she can do comedy well - All her Late Late Show With Craig Ferguson appearances prove she has (had?) a charming and endearing personality. The "fame accounting" looks excellent on paper, yet somehow we've ended up... here. Maybe one day we'll get a return to form.

The girl we saw on Craig Ferguson is gone. I don't know if something bad happened to her or she just fell in with a group of misandrist women and absorbed their attitude. I also suspect that the director pulled a good performance out of her rather than she delivered a good performance based on her track record. And she was a fool to attack her major customers. From my understanding, in other films Brie is a good actress. But she has this smugness in interviews that works against her. I compare her to Aubrey Plaza, Charlize Theron, Emma Stone, other actresses have an ability to self deprecate and deadpan that makes them likeable. Jenna Ortega has already surpassed her as a star, because she just has that thing, people love her version of Wednesday and she has good comic timing. Being able to laugh at yourself and being funny goes a long way.

I’d never heard anything negative about Larson until the moment she made her ‘controversial’ comments before “Captain Marvel” came out. All of a sudden, after that comment, there were loads of on-line rumors. Samuel L Jackson made “Kong: Skull Island” with her, then he agreed to star in a film she was directing, I forgot which one, then after working with her as a co-actor and under her as a director, he again worked with her in Captain Marvel, End Game, The Marvels, etc. If she is such a nightmare to work with, I would think Samuel would have told Marvel something… But instead, he talked her up and made what amounted to a buddy-movie with her. But maybe I'm missing something here..

I think they artificially inflated the significance of the character’s (and therefore Brie’s) injection to the MCU. Based on her powers and capacity to decisively influence any of the types of villains or looming cataclysms that any of her much more vaunted and broadly embraced progenitors were especially Iron Man, Captain America, Spider-Man, Thor and Hulk. The fact that she could turn them all into gnocchi on a whim is a ridiculously destabilising facet to try to weave into broader arcs which fans have already invested in. The fact that Brie lacks range and gravitas or any remote capacity to ‘sell it’ aside from sneering and being quippy.

To their credit, Marvel only started going toward the MsheU when people started criticizing them for not having enough female heroes. The problem is those people arent the main consumers of comic culture. The loudest voices don't always represent the majority. Also they could've increased female representation without making everything a gender war. Between Marvel, Star Wars, and Disney cartoons pushing "the message" I'm just planning to stick to video games for a while, discontinuing my streaming services and just buying the older movies I like.

Why did it take so long for Black Widow to get her own movie, when Iron Man, Captain America, Thor and even Hulk (though not Mark Ruffalo) got their own movies. Black Widow was a sidekick, just some eye candy. She also stood behind Iron Man, never in front. People bagged DCEU for not having individual movies before "Justice League", (despite Superman and Batman having multiple versions of movies for decades), yet Black Widow didn't get her own film until AFTER the Avengers movies. In fact, Captain Marvel came out BEFORE Black Widow. "Wonder Woman" in the DCEU came out before "Black Widow". Too bad in your case that the toxic reaction to "Captain Marvel" did not stop plans for "Black Widow", and just keep her as a sidekick for eye candy and to make the men in the movie look good.
@dcoderjr
@dcoderjr Жыл бұрын
@dhenderson1810 you make a lot of assumptions about my feelings about very specific things I never mentioned. I will say everyone is fine with Chris Hemsworth or Chris Evans being eye candy. It's part of running jokes for their characters so miss me with that eye candy argument. They literally stripped Chris Hemsworth naked and the women ate fruit basically enjoying the sexual assault.... Imagine if it was reversed and Jane Foster was sitting there stripped naked in chains while Thor enjoyed the view eating grapes instead of helping... Black Widow just like Clint and Falcon are less interesting because while their skills make them specialized fighters, they're not Super Power level heroes so they historically were less emphasized until later after we had reasons to care about content around them. Had less to do with her being a woman IMO. Everything else was defaulting to the most popular comic books since the genre is driven by comic book enthusiasts. Wonder Woman sells more comic books than Black Widow. Look up the history of Black Widow, she had her own comic series that didn't take off as well as other characters so instead she became a part of SHIELD and the Avengers and she played major but supporting roles instead of being the center of attention in the comics. You can try to make this a gender war but it was not a gender war on the part of comic book readers. Correlation and causation are different things. People were excited about She Hulk and Marvel made it a constant rant about women vs men, degrading beloved male characters to nothing but a piece of tail unapologetically, and fulfilling tons of stereotypes about modern women simultaneously. No wonder it was a flop.
