A few questions: 1a) Does heavy water freeze and boil at the same temperature as tap water? 1b) Same question for distilled water. 2) If you had enough heavy water for a swimming pool, would you be more buoyant or less buoyant? 3) If you showered in heavy water, would it be unhealthy, more healthy, no difference? 4) Does heavy water evaporate at the same rate as tap water (and distilled water)?
@slep16543 жыл бұрын
1a) it freezes and boils at a bit warmer temperatures (a couple degrees) 1b) Depends on the tap water but distilled water freezes at the freezing point of water dude. 2) You would be more buoyant because the heavy water has more mass in the same area (more dense) but you’re still the same density so less dense relative which would make you float more. 3) it wouldn’t be more heathy that’s for sure, but It probably wouldn’t cause too much of a difference unless you were drinking it too. 4) It evaporated slower than distilled water and again depends on what tap. ALSO, BRUH GOOGLE IS A THING JUST INSTEAD OF POSTING THEM INTO THE COMMENTS JUST TYPE THEM IN THE SEARCH BOX. LIKE GOD DAM

Day 53: I am addicted to heavy water! I can not live without heavy water. Day 150: Heavy water is life. I weigh about 5kgs more since I started to drink heavy water. Day 400: I feel fine. I don't know how people can live without heavy water. Day 600: Do you remember my mine? Yeah? It is full with my piss bottles... They are laying everywhere. Day 1095: I bought a Gas tank and am currently using it as a piss container. I also started to drink more and more heavy water daily and less normal water. Day 1650: I now own a heavy water facility. It can produce deuterium water and light water (deuterium depleted water). Day 1825: Today I saw a glass shattering, it was slower then usual. Day 1825,5: Movements of other people are slower. Day 1825,85546: It's been days in the same day. I don't know how to explain it. The time is so slow that I can see everything is slowmotion. It may has something to do with the slowed down chemical reations in my body. Day 2500: Today I discovered that when I drink light water(deuterium depleted water) time speeds up. Day 5000: I am going to the future. Day 50000: 136 years in the future. The human kinde lives on all planets of the solar system. I am going to visit the mars colonie. Day 500000: 1369 years in the future. The first humans are on the way to the andromedar galaxy. Day 500000000000000000000000000000: It's cold. Day 0: Replacing my body water with anti water made me go back in time. I need to find my old self. Day 1: I figured out that it would not be a great idea to talk to my old self. I will just live my live and always carry a bottle of anitwater with me so I can rewinde everytime I get to the end of the universe. Day 2: Yep it looks like because I am immortal I live for infinte time so I reach infinitly the end of the universe and rewinde. The universe gets stuffed full with *ME*. Day 3: I overloaded the universe, Infinte mes means Infinte mass so we all are collapsing together. Year -13800000000: Our mass created the biggest black hole of all time, its mass canceled out the expenstion of the universe and it collapsed. After collapsing all future selfs of me dissapeared and it seems like the universe is restarting it self with a second big bang. Day 0: I finally decided to kill my old self before he starts drinking heavy water...

2:37 so could you then have water molecules where one of the hydrogens is protium, while the other one is deuterium? And one is tritium, while the other one protium/deuterium. I mean since it is 1/6000-7000 hydrogens, it seems unlikely that there's be many H2O with 2 deuteriums. Or is there some sort of law that makes an oxygen only be able to/be more likely to bind to two hydrogens of the same isotope? If anyone could shed some light on this I'd be very grateful 🌲💙

Great to see somebody out there with an enquiring mind and a simple logical observational analytical method. I know that the sense of smell is now thought to operate with a quantum mechanism, so your identification of our human perception of deuterium being sweet is a great starting point for an experiment. Your final observation, after the evaporation one which was very good and introduced the energy idea was that deuterium ice was less sweet. Well its less energetic. You may have just proved taste is a quantum function👍physics

oscar russell garcía Thank you for letting me know. Can you explain what is that used for? :)
@Taunus-Tim7 жыл бұрын
Ali Ozan a stirling motor like this one has absolutely no use. It is decoration. But in large scale a sterling motor is a very effective combustion engine, but the power density is extremely low. That's the cause why they are very rare in use. In Germany we sometimes use them to generate electricity in combination with our methane gas heating system. But as i said, the power output is really low. Google it.
@aliozanerbektas7 жыл бұрын
Taunus-Tims Welt Yeah I know I can google it but there will be no human interaction that way. :)

Ali Ozan this wasn't meant as order: "Go Google It!" More likean advice: "if you want to know more, you can go google it" Sterling engines are a little too confusing to understand, so i wouldn't be able to completely explain it in english, which is still a foreign language for me.
