Zoinks! I just realized Adam and Fiona weren't on the list !! ADAM -- I love Adam :( He's such a funny and sweet guy, and I thought Jordan Todosey did a fabulous job bringing him to life. As the conversation around trans folks in the media has evolved, so too have attitudes about cis actors portraying trans characters, so while I enjoyed her performance, I'll always prefer the job go to a trans actor. Adam for his own sake is incredibly kind, warm, and fun to watch, and he always brings a certain levity to scenes that helps immerse you into the episode. I thought his death was horrendous -- there were any number of ways they could have written him out of the show, so while I know that Linda Schuyler and Stephen Stohn have regrets about the way it was handled and turned into a texting-while-driving PSA, I'm not letting them off the hook for that. I'm still mad about his death, because it reframes the scenes he has in 11 and 12 when you know there's a ticking clock over his character at all times. It makes it hard, upon rewatch, to get invested in his relationship with Becky, something that should otherwise be a show highlight. FIONA -- My heart and soul !! Annie Clark said it best when she said "Is there anything more wonderful than 'Fimogen'?" Fiona and Imogen have one of the best relationships on the show, and Fiona is a genuine delight from start to finish. Her struggles with addiction and opening up to people I know are extremely relatable to so many, and Clark brings such a kindness and warmth to her portrayal that it's hard not to smile whenever Fiona's on screen. For a character who was involved in as much drama as she was, the friendships she formed were enduring. What makes Fiona work is kinda like what makes Willow work. It's not just a delightful actress with great comedic timing, good representation or sharp dialogue. It's heart. Making her kiss Declan during Manhattan was beyond weird though. Points off for that.

Jenna became her most bearable when she was dating Connor.. try and change my mind 😤😤😤😤

Johnny was not black holed. He graduated. With honors. He also had a cameo later on in an Allie storyline as a college student. By that time he'd cut his hair and developed a cleaner look. It had been in the background of a lot of plot lines ever since he was introduced that Johnny was actually really smart. The writers didn't do enough with this but he wasn't black holed.

Darcy is a character i don't find likeable at all but i think she's verryyyyy well written

As a Muslim, I cannot STAND Goldie and her storylines. Everything was about religion and being hate crimed and being mean to her gay cousin who isn’t her cousin??? I just feel like they could have done so much more than just make her a hijabi side character

Manny's dad never found out about her abortion, her mom took her to get it but she didn't tell him. Her dad kicked her out for wanting to be an ACTOR lmao. Also Emma does suck but I think she was justified in speaking out against that right wing programming the school was showing to kids in exchange for computers(a real thing that happened in Canadian schools apparently). They act like there's no other way for the school to get computers besides taking money from this shady corporation... but they live in the incredibly wealthy city of Toronto! The city should be giving the schools adequate funding so they can cover their student's needs.....

Idk if I've ever seen another show allow a gay character to date a someone like Miles that wasn't previously established as LGBT (and had even been kind of the heartthrob of the show that season.) So often on teen shows they introduce a whole new character specifically to date the gay or bi person (Dylan to Marco, Zane to Riley, Jack to Imogen), and it always feels like a lame afterthought. There was something so triumphant about letting Tristan actually get the guy he wanted!! That nobody knew was bi! And then all of season 14 and NC happened. Also not to be that person but hating pre-s14 Tristan smells like homophobia to me. What was your opinion on Lucas Valieri? Personally I thought he was admirable for *trying* to be dad but ultimately the asshole for his abandonment once things quickly got heavy, although later on in the show when we see his sister Jane dealing with discovery of their dad, you see his daughter with him so maybe off-screen he matured some and stepped up. I can understand him being frustrated with a sibling for refusing to allow their father in, and how heroic he was when he discovered the truth- Jane is so strong and takes everything on her self but he didnt even ask, just stood up as her knight.
