DBT return with another excellent album Gets better and better the more you listen - Cooley’s writing still as sharp as a knife

Cooley's lyrics becoming iconic.

One of the best bands going today. Thought-provoking lyrics (If some know nothing, nothing's keeping some from knowing it all) and killer guitar driven rock! Musically reminiscent of the Stones and Faces.

Disagree, but whatever. This incarnation of DBT is just remnants of what used to be. The Neff loss ripped its jack of all trades off the stage and left them depending on Jay Gonzalez to fill that spot and it just didn’t happen.

@@chriscurtis8341 The loss of a songwriter like Jason Isbell is hard to overcome. If you are saying their earlier albums are their best, I agree. That's what is so great about music. WE ALL HAVE OUR OWN TASTES. I stand by my comment that DBT is better than most current rock bands

I heard this last night for the first time. I thought it was a track from an album by the Who or Roger Daltrey that I had somehow missed. Would never had guessed it was DBT... This is insanely good.

Anyone else think this may be about the “San Antonio 4?”
@glennrwordman Жыл бұрын
Hey, James! It actually stems from a 1936 book called "The Awful Disclosures of Maria Monk, as Exhibited in a Narrative of Her Sufferings During a Residence of Five Years as a Novice and Two Years as a Black Nun, in the Hotel Dieu Nunnery in Montreal". (How's THAT for a mouthful?!) Cooley jumped off from there, tying the story to our widespread present day belief in conspiracy theories.
