welcome to Bayview Drive-In Movie Theater!! I was in disbelief when I saw that this place offered camping so you know I had to make the drive. in today's episode we will be doing a bunch of cool things living out my childhood dream. then, I will sadly receive a speeding ticket (my first one in 6 years ugh) so this was an expensive episode.. oops. thank you to the cop for being so nice though LOL anyways, enjoy today's video :) xoxo -becca

I’m 70 years old, so I’m very familiar with drive-ins. And yes you’re right I wish they would come back great family entertainment, wanted to share a little story my husband and I at the drive in we had a German Shepherd with us had a Ford F150 pick up truck all three of us were in the cab. My German shepherd started to growl. I saw no one around the truck course we had windows down, was in the heat of the summer. I had thrown a little bit of popcorn out my window that we didn’t finish and there was a skunk right beside the truck eating the popcorn well long story short of course my German Shepherd went crazy skunk all over our truck. That truck smelled like skunk four months :-) a little drive in memory I wanted to share with you.

Way back when my daughter was about 4 years old. My best friend and I took Brandi (my daughter) to a drive-in. We watched "K9". My daughter LOVES dogs. At the end, when the dog got hurt was seemed lie he was not going to make it. My daughter cried..... my best friend and I had to tell her "Jerry Lee was acting. He is really okay. It's just a movie." ❤. And I just texted my older sister. She is on vacation. A lonnnnnng 2 month vacation..... She lives here in the same city I do, we are in Southern AZ. She left on June 4th, she (and her husband) drove to the middle of California to visit they're daughter. Then 3 days later they drove to Montana.

This is so cool. As a kid I not only spent many a night in my pjs in the back seat as a kid watching movies but I lived very close to the drive in and could see the screen from my bedroom. Thanks for camping there!

This is an awesome find, In Warwick NY they let the hikers from the Appalachian trail come to camp for free in the back of the park , I sure miss these in Florida , we used to have two near us ..

My town doesn't have a lot going for it anymore, but it DOES have a drive-in theater! Quite happy that I was raised with drive-in movies, and have been able to show my kids and their kids how awesome they are! Sooo many great memories!

That pasta 😅😅😅 Italians everywhere cringed with the process and end result but I’m proud of you for trying it. Drive ins were so much fun! I’m so glad you were able to experience one. It looked like one of the movies was “Inside Out” but I was wrong. Sucks about that ticket, but I’ve found most cops can and are super chill so long as you’re honest and and respectful. A kid I went to HS with admitted to the cop that he’d find weed in his car and bc he was truthful, they ended up dropping almost all of his charges but they never charged him for possession of marijuana due to his honesty. 👍🏼 Give Skye some huge hugs from me & I can’t wait to see your next adventure. After you cut dough in to pasta, let it dry on a table with a little flour. Turning them over a few times throughout the day. Once fully dry, then cook. 👍🏻

I grew up going to Drive-In Theaters starting in the 1950s. Many wonderful memories woith my parents and our 1960 Rambler Station wagon. Alabama still has a number of them. 7 bucks for 1 person or 12 bucks for an entire car load! Yep, as many as you can safely get into your car, truck or van. RVs and Motorcoach or Bus were 15 bucks awhile back...prices have no doubt rised but still a great way to spend an occasional evening 😊.

Hey, love drive-ins also. We have one not far, If u ever come through Iowa on I-80 East of the worlds largest I-80 truck stop (which I've seen ur video😊) it's in Newton, IA. Ever get that close let me know. Altho it isn't a hip camp but there r plenty if camping around and of coarse my driveway. I just did the same thing about a week ago in my F150 truck camper. I was in Monte Vista, CO at the Movie Manor. They didn’t have overnight, but the movie was only $10 and a med popcorn was $6. Not bad. My movie was Furiosa too and it wasn’t great. 😕 I had my truck backed in, tailgate open and started watching from the tailgate, then moved inside as it got cooler and I laid down on my bed and watched. 👍 For mosquitoes, I had on my red lights only and wasn’t bothered, yet they were out….like at the concession stand. I hope to do it again soon. Great video. 😁

I would love to see you and Skye visit every state in America. Not all at once but eventually and yes I know you can't drive to Hawaii but maybe end with a trip to Hawaii as a celebration. Hawaii is super expensive but so beautiful even the less popular islands. I actually stay at non tourist locations when I go and it's way cheaper.

I am 62 years old so I remember going to drive in. That the first time I saw Wizard of Oz was in a dive in. With my brother and his first wife. I was 14 .Where are you and Lila moving to. Drive safe in your travels. Be safe when you move.

I’ve seen people making bannock when camping and many of them use a large freezer bag. They put the ingredients in the bag, close it, then squeeze it slowly adding water to get the right consistency.

We are blessed with an outdoor movie theater about 45mins away from here so we've been there a few times through out the years and it's so awesome every time we go!

What a great idea! My parents and used to go drive in theatres a few times every summer. I would go play on the swings and slide in my pyjamas with the other kids. I will definitely book it on Hipcamp! I'm glad you had a fun time in Canada!!👍

If you go to another drive in just pick up a little hand radio from walmart. also good to have a one for keeping out for storms if you dont have service. :) such a fun camp idea!

We have a drive-in near us. It is the Malta Drive-in. In order to hear the movie, we need a radio. There is a radio station for each screen (we have two screens here). I have so many memories!

This looked like a great time at the DRIVE IN I was wondering here in Canada the sound of the movie comes thru a radio station that the DRIVE IN tells you that it is broadcasting on and you just have to use your accessory mode without turning the engine on it does,t drain you battery as long as you turn your engine on once and while maybe it's the same there So glad that Skye is doing so well Good Luck on your up coming move

Growing up in the 70's I went to several drive in theaters in my area in southern Ohio . Sadly most have closed down and are a thing of the past in my area. Some of my best childhood memories were at a drive in! Once I turned 16 going to the drive in was even better with my friends or even better my girlfriend...

@@beccayaseenIf u make it to New Jersey, please stop Bendix Diner. It’s an old fashion, stainless steel diner that’s sits on the median between Route 17 North and South in Hasbrouck Heights. Opened since 1947 and has been owned for 20 years by the unofficial “official” ambassador of NJ, John Diakakis. He’s a fast server, a funny comedian , and 100% blind. There’s even a PBS documentary about Bendix Diner.

Drive-in movies are so cool. We had one where I live when I was a kid. Of course it's gone now. Two hotels and a bank took its place. Such a shame. I believe there are two still in my entire state. Maybe more but two that I know of.

I used to go to a flea market at a drive-in theater in the day time in Denver back in the 1990's. They used to play adult(xxx) movies there sometimes because you couldn't see the movies from outside the theater. They had giant fences that were like twenty feet high all around the place and the only sound was from the portable speakers that you could only put in your windows. I had a mountain bike only so of course I never got in as an adult to say I had been.there. I know of two in our state.. one is near my parents house in a really touristy area and it is only open in the summer.

Sup Becca, so cool offer camping, the rustic still open in RI 👍, they broadcast over radio and Internet? pasta needs salt, all yolks give richer pasta, can do one whole and yolks, even just eggs, make volcano but easier beat in bowl and add to center... Clamp on pasta roller(hand crank) better than roll own, you did great by hand just salt and salt in waterWonder if rustic offers camping? They'd last longer if did$$. Skye looks great. So cool tho lol, ok on highway hard to stay speed limit .. tyvm tc 🎣

Curious, did the drive in theater have speakers? The last drive in I went to had a clip you could attach to your car antenna and the sound would come through your car radio. You had to tune in to a particular radio station. Best of luck on your move

Me and mom always went to see all the drive in scary movies at halloween one of my favorite things. We grew up with 3 drive in movies in our city. There is still one left I go at least once a year just because.

Got at least one drive in theater within about a 40 minute drive. Was a couple but haven't looked it up in a while. Pretty cool place. Good food that is very reasonably priced comparing. Not a camping drive in. Sounds like a good idea. But ive got camping everywhere in the area.

I saw one movie in a drive-in theater one time in my life. It was the movie Orca and it came out in 1977 right before my parents got divorced and me and my brother became foster kids. I was five years old. It was about a killer whale out for revenge upon the guy who killed its mate. I think Jaws came out right before that.

This is so awesome. I too missed the drive-in theaters that’s all that we used to do when I was a kid growing up, but I am much much older than you I live in Florida. That’s where we used to go was in North Fort Myers, Florida. Just want to say, honey you are blessed you are naturally beautiful!😮 don’t give up Girl. Try the pasta again. You gave me an idea for pasta since I don’t eat flour or gluten. I’m gonna try some ground oats with an egg yolk and see what happens.😮 get you a skin so soft product by Avon any skin so soft product and I promise you the bugs will not touch you! They need to have a speaker out there on each pole and if you want to pull it into your truck, you can that part they didn’t think about!😢
