The lake at 4:00 is called Lake Zug, the mountain in front is called Mythen, this is beautiful Central Switzerland 🇨🇭 Traffic jam at Gotthard is not because of road construction, it’s the regular traffic during the holiday season, because it’s only a one lane per direction tunnel…

😂 The pronunciation of the word "the" depends on the first sound of the word that comes after it. When the word after "the" begins with a consonant sound, people usually use /ðə/. When the word after "the" begins with a vowel sound, people usually use /ði/.

Enjoying your road trip video's a lot Kris, and less issues with mid/south-European charging than I expected - excellent! Hoping your drive back Saturday/Sunday will go well as it is what we call a 'black weekend' due to an expected peak in departing and returning holiday traffic (but hopefully for you more on the French side). Be safe, all the best and thanks for sharing this great road trip!

Love the road trip video as you get to see so much more of other countries. Please do more of them. One of the concerns with the Polestar is its lack of cup holders. You seem to have solved the problem with an additional on that hooks to the glovebox I believe. Was this a Polestar accessory or an aftermarket purchase.

Hi great video, just wondering something about how the maths works out with overall journey time - overall is it quicker to drive fast and charge often, or is it quicker to drive at lower speed with lower consumption and charge less?
@lowfuel6089
@lowfuel6089 11 ай бұрын
The bigger impact is when to charge and for how long. Every EV has a "charging curve", where they will charge faster until a certain point and then start to slow down. For longer road trips it can be beneficial to try to stay within that faster charging speed area of your battery, by stopping more often and only charging to 50 or 60%.

It seems like the Google maps app on the Polestar doesn’t take altitude changes into account, it feels quite strange that it miscalculated the range from Gotthard to Binasco by that big amount. I’ll will have to wait till tomorrow to see what happened in the morning with only 18% of charge before leaving. 🤞

An interesting and very nice vlog. I also love the beautiful Polestar 2. But traveling long distance still looks nerve-wracking to me. If I would do the same trip with my Volvo V40D2 Aut. Inscription, I would be stopping every two hours just for a coffee. I would have to find diesel every 1200km (consumption av. 5,4l/100km and a tank of 62l). And every full tank would cost me app. 75,- to max. 100,- euro for another 1200km... And my car only costed half the price of this Polestar... So for me no stress (as long as gas stations will exist). And ecological? Sorry, but as long as electricity is made with fossil fuel and batteries are built with rare materials that will become even more expensive if we need more batteries, I think we have to hope for large technical evolutions. Probably we have to completely rethink our ways of traveling.
