Top 20 things REMOVED from GTA Vice City BETA before it was released in 2002 by Rockstar Games. At release Vice City map did feel incomplete because GTA1 had 3 cities, while GTA2 and GTA3 had 3 city districts (Rockstar would continue this 3 city/district tradition in SA and IV), so hearing about VC's "Shoreside Vale" analogue being planned makes perfect sense. However, GTA3's last district felt very underbaked compared to the first two, so I'm also not surprised Rockstar decided to polish what they have instead.

Vice city feels the most unpolished, the first island is great but half of it is empty beach and then Downtown is terrible and just full of empty dead ends like the junkyard area

Vice City was supposed to be just a expansion pack for GTA 3 after all, it's not surprising that so much content was cut when you consider that it had one only year of development and the decision to transform it in a full flashed out videogame came last minute

I think GTA 3 Portland is the most detailed, Staunton is less and the least detailed is the Shoreside Vale. I am disappointed at that time. Well Vice City is the same first island is brilliant and the second unfinished. I hope GTA 6 Leonida state will not have unfinished parts.

Lol, they were smuggled all over the world. The vietnamese had them, china had their own AK variants, Cuba had them. Not far fetched to think one could find it's way to some Florida mobsters.

There is also some audio files left in the audio folder that are quite interesting such audios for a unused interglobal films mission(later used in Vice City Stories)Mercedes phonecalls,Diaz phonecalls,Malibu Club bartender A loan shark that Bj Smith owned money to, alternative Umberto phonecall,unused Tommy internal monologues and a lot of character dialogues

@@Redwan777 GTA6 hasn't released though, but in that case, they may have either bought rights to doing so, or made their own tweaks to make it look different than what is originally created by typical car makes and models.

Vice City used the same game engine with GTA 3, that's also why it's limited, San Andreas' game engine allowed much more mechanics and features

The colt sil is an Automag, the AK is a AP80 (22lr) and the grenade launcher is a 37mm gas riot gun.

The Gator Keys must've been removed early on since there's no map or textures of it whatsoever. There is a odd grass texture that appears at the airport as an LOD which made people believe that this is where the road to the Gator Keys would've started.

BTW There's a another beta hunt of the cut radio station is call "Eight Ten VCN (Vice City News)" is a News Radio Station Was Supposed Appearing in Radio Selection instead of Radio Interrupting but it was cut in the final game, you can find the VCN Building in the Location is nothing happen, and There's a Cut Songs from other radio station was supposed originally intended in radio station like flash fm, wave 103 that was cut or move in the final version as you can see the official 7 CD Soundtrack Unbox Collection in the song list.

I played a very good BETA Edition mod so it recovered most of these stuff. but it was a shame how they cut most of this stuff for the default game, especially the absence of AK-47 and Desert Eagle really bothered me as they are some of my favourite weapons

Some of the removed weapons are actually added in VCS, I think it's done so that you buy other games of the series; why else would you buy a game when there's another with the same content! they also did so with GTA IV & GTA V where activities like bowling, Pool, hockey, club dancing, dating, vigilante missions, drug wars and gang wars along with features like calling for backup, clear wanted, gun vans that provide weapons for less price, all of that is actually absent in GTA V, while things like buying assets, the vast variety of weapons and vehicles, modification of vehicles and the ability to swim and fly planes are absent in GTA IV; all for the sake of buying both games instead of one!

They were DUMB to take out the AUG, the suppressed pistol and the Deagle. 😫😫😫😫😫😫😫😫😫😫😫😫😫😫😫😫😫 Cutting the AK out makes sense, the game was set in the 80’s which was during the COLD WAR and these types of weapons are Warsaw Pact weapons and getting them in West could have been a LOGISTICAL NIGHTMARE.

Vice City is the best GTA game by FAR and gets overshadowed by San Andreas just because it's a bigger map and everyone jumps on the bandwagon. A lot of us started with GTA 3, and Vice City was made in a year with way less resources.

Not identical but more like Vice City Stories crossed with San Andreas with the plot of Vice City. Such as an empire system that doesn’t suck which it certainly did in all the games until VCS.
