Matthew Schurter should that back nut be blue loctited ?? maybe it holds on the round pass thru

for sure but sometimes a round fits on a half round but that is usually spring loaded situations where theirs pressure

further thought is a backup nut might be in order but they did say no spare parts were found...let me have a looky :P

Cool. Out of curiosity, since there is one lever, and two cables... Is there a mechanism somewhere to balance out the brakes (so you get equal braking forces from both brakes with out the sensation of the brakes pulling of the bike to one side or the other) - or is that done manually though the cable adjustment?

Hey Bikeman, I recently inherited a Schwinn folding bike from my dad who passed away a few months ago that has a rear brake assembly, it works fine but the noise coming from it is horrible. The word "squeal" doesn't begin to describe it lol. It's like someone is strangling a goose! Do you have a video on how to fix/service that style brake? If not could you make one? I looked on youtube everywhere and could not find anything about that style of braking system. Should I take the thing apart and clean it and remove any rust that might be inside? Perhaps you could make a video about this as new content on your youtube channel. :)

@@MarshWaha Thanks for offering to help... I cleaned the thing with automotive brake parts cleaner and that stopped the noise. I also sold the bike last summer... take care...
